The hotel and customer service was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location and fantastic staff! Went above and beyond. Will definitely be back again..

This place is about a 5 to 10 minute walk from Congress. Modern lobby and rooms. Liked the coffee and quick breakfast spot. Brisket egg taco tasty. Good latte too. It can be a bit loud but my corner room had plenty of space and was quiet. Good value compared to Four Seasons and JW Marriott.

Stayed here for 3 nights and the hotel is awesome. Clean, great hospitality, contemporary and fragrant! Check in was the easiest at any hotel I’ve visited and to greet you with a local beverage is really nice. Room was very comfortable especially the bed. 5 stars for the customer service and the ambiance.

Great hotel! Staff very hospitable and helpful. Location right next to Raney Street but little out of the way for the rest of downtown.

Hotel is beautiful with very helpful staff. Really enjoyed the pool and how close the hotel was to places to eat and activities. Felt welcomed as soon as we pulled up.

Great stay - happy hour from 5-6 PM (free for guests) can't be beat. Easy changing of our room style from King to Queen/Queen. Staff was attentive and helpful.

The rooms are a little small but the experience was nice overall.

Everybody was so nice and helpful. I never wanted to leave. If I come back to Austin, I plan to stay at the Kimpton.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The level of customer service does not match what you would expect of such a beautiful property. The lack of a good experience started at check-in and continued through check-out. Was very disappointed in the lack of communication between staff and the hotel guest and the inability of management to resolve issues. If you expect to stay at this hotel and get treated well, there is a high probability that you'll be disappointed.

The Van Zandt is a very hip hotel. I probably was the oldest person in the Hotel at 53, but never the less it was well done. Our room was nice and the staff attentive.

Beautiful, modern, very clean. Find a good online deal and treat yourself. Centrally located on Rainey Street, which is AWESOME for some day drinking. The staff was very courteous, and helpful. I read a review online that stated this neighborhood was dicey....I completely disagree and challenge that person for proof. I'm from Chicago, and this reminded me of a compact Wicker Park...WP is dicey, and I wouldn't walk around by myself late at night....Rainey Street was wonderful! My husband and I were amazed that, while there were a lot of drunkards on Friday night, no one was acting a fool. It's a GREAT area. This hotel is beautiful, has a great location and makes you feel all sorts of comfortable. My only complaint is that the walls are a bit thin, so you hear doors slam. Otherwise, it was a great deal!

The hotel itself was very nice. The only option for parking was their valet service at $47 per night. Geraldine’s, their 4th floor restaurant, was top notch for breakfast and brunch. Two of my biggest annoyances about the hotel: the shower and the adjoining room noise. The shower did not have a door to separate it from the rest of the bathroom, and in my opinion, much too small not to. You had to cover a majority of the bathroom floor with towels, otherwise the bathroom would have flooded. Secondly, the noise that came from the neighbors in the adjoining room was just ridiculous for a four star hotel. We heard every conversation- every word. We even had to endure the second round of guests literally tripping on magic mushrooms at night, followed by another round of their drunken babbling from 2-4AM. We notified the front desk who offered to send security for extra rounds up there and upgrade us to a new room at no charge, but it was too late and would have been too much of a pain to repack and unpack our luggage.

I loved my stay here. It was very clean and cozy. The lobby provides ice cold water around the clock, and they have a cozy living room area to wait, relax or meet people at. They provide a happy hour from 5-6pm with free drinks. They also have complimentary bicycles, which was a treat for our stay because we biked along the trail just a few blocks away. It’s right by Rainey street where many bars, food trucks and restaurants live. It is a 5-10 minute walk to 6th street and Congress Avenue which are the main streets of Austin with many shops and restaurants as well. The pool is great, with a great view, bar and fire place. The restaurant Geraldine’s in the hotel was great as well, with cozy chairs and great food. It has live music some nights. Also if you need anything you just text message the staff. They quickly respond and accommodate your needs. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Had a wonderful time at the Kimpton. The location is perfect - right on Rainey street and close to downtown. Our room was clean and spacious and the hotel manager, Dylan, was nice enough to upgrade us on our last night!

Great hotel. Within walking distance of wonderful restaurants and clubs.
