The hotel was clean and inviting—the pool was DELIGHTFUL. Bed super comfy—bathroom in the suite was HUGE. But, the restaurant/food was frustrating. If you are staying there and don’t have a car, you are stuck with the restaurant because nothing is walkable. The restaurant is expensive, the food is only fine, and they were definitely understaffed. The staff that was there did their best, but it was underwhelming. Room service also never answered the phone. If room service wasn’t available, that’s fine—just make it known to the guests. The first night, the (I assume) manager of the restaurant told us we couldn’t be seated without a reservation—and the dining room was EMPTY. They did serve us in the lounge (where there was a fantastic blues singer/guitarist so it was probably more enjoyable than the dining room) but in the two hours we were there—still lots of empty tables. I would recommend staying here, but have a car so you aren’t dependent on the restaurant. Between the resort fees and restaurant bills…it was a pricey few days.

The pool was overrun with young kids doing cannonballs. All the adults were forced to leave. Multiple guests complained.

it was good and they had treadmills

Beautiful hotel and excellent service everyone was so kind

loved the look and feel of the property. Great staff and the doormen is a nice touch.

Nice, clean hotel. Off the grid so is very quiet - no road noise!

Really loved the atmosphere. Very nice Spanish mansion feel to it. Staff was nice. Rooms, bar, pool, and common areas were all very nice.

There was a blackout in all the rooms

This hotel accept non refundable bookings. But when you show up and they give away your room. They don’t have any recourse. At 9pm. I had to search for a room after being told they gave my room away. No excuse. I ended up paying nearly double because there was little to no availability in Austin. Terrible.

Beautiful property, couple of things that could've made the stay perfect was in-room dining was REALLY lacking. There was no menu in the room, when I called to get something reasonably easy at 10pm, they missed the mark. leaving out part of my order. And upon our arrival I requested a note left for my husband along with the 185$ champagne and fruit tray, they left the note out.

I highly recommend the Hotel Granduca in Austin. A welcoming, comfortable environment in a rustic Italian setting. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Only complaints would be the "self- park" parking fees and the bed pillows. Padding the bottom line with things like parking fees always bugs me. The pillows were really small and were too "mushy " to offer any support.

Staying at this property will spoil you. I have nothing to offer about improving service at all levels and all areas. Bravo to the people who hire and train the employees. The one thing that impresses me the most is the ownership of staff. They say our and we when speaking of The Granduca. They seem proud to work there. I've never heard anyone to openly complain about the system, supervisors or management. Love this place. I need to add food is great!

Rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. Staff was very friendly.

The property decor is very outdated, heavy “Old World” Italian design, fixtures and furnishings. This seemed out of place for a 4 year old property adjacent to Apple’s building in Austin. Worst part of the stay was a fire alarm and hotel evacuation in the early morning hours due to smoke in the kitchen. No fire. And other guests said it was the second night in a row. Another guest said the alarm had gone off four times during their stay. Will not return!

Beautiful location Very tranquil to relax and enjoy the very well-kept property

Good Afternoon Michael, Thank you very much for your feedback. We are truly sorry this group of guests who visited with their children caused disruption at our pool over the past weekend. We addressed the issue with them privatetly and again are so very sorry this took away from your relaxation. We sincerely appreciate your business and feedback.
