Rooms were tiny. Bed was crammed in between 3 walls so that my husband had to crawl over me to get in or out of bed. We got no housekeeping or information about housekeeping. I ordered a cappucino in the restaurant and received a mini latte. The barista clearly did not know what a cappicino is. $23 is too much for a relatively meager breakfast buttet.

This is the first Citizen M I've been to and I was expecting some maybe problems based on other reviews but that was completely wrong. I loved this hotel! At 47 years old I've gotten used to 5 star hotels, to the point they rarely impress me anymore and while this hotel isn't that expensive, the experience was 5 star. I love the pop art design, I love the controlling the room with a iPad and picking the color of the lighting (I'm not a techie, it was easy), the staff was fantastic at customer service, the pool is lovely and the location is perfect because you are walking distance to 6th Street but not actually on 6th Street (I once stayed on 6th and it was way too busy and way too gritty for me). The room is smaller as people said, but there is plenty of room for a week's visit. There is a spot to put your suitcase and a small hanging area, and there's a large drawer under the bed. Had I been staying for long I would have unpacked and put all my clothes in that drawer would have worked nicely. Now, if you have 2 suitcases, it will be not as roomy. There is room to keep a second suitcase with you but it will be in the room not tucked away. But honestly if I did bring 2 suitcases I'd still choose to stay at Citizen M. The bed is in a nook, and I LOVED that. I was in the nook with a large picture window with a city view. It has been so long since i have had a hotel stay feel like an experience and this was an experience. I will stay at Citizen M whenever it's an option.

This was the weirdest place I have ever stayed at. The room is like staying in a tiny camper. The bed is wedged in and if you are super tall you are not fitting in the bed. The controls to everything are on an iPad. Which is cool but very confusing. The whole hotel is very high tech. The shower and toilet are all in one. Let’s just say that if you are going to stay with someone in the same room, make sure that you really like one another and are comfortable with each other. There is no privacy at all. Especially when going to the bathroom!

This was my first time and I absolutely LOVED this hotel. I loved the uniqueness of my room and how personal it was. The only complaint I had would be about the towels. I did find some hair and they didn't smell completely clean. Like maybe just old. But other than that, I will definitely be back again and would recommend this hotel to others.

The worst stay of my life

Everything is self serve, checking in and checking out. Our room was so damn small, imagine a New York room with no walking space. Between the bathroom door and the walkway there was no space. The AC was broken and we had called to get it fixed and they said “they were working on it” but never fixed it which made us believe that they just don’t allow you to switch the temperature in the room. Extremely hot. The other downside of this place was the parking; we spent $200 just to park. They charged you per 10 hours and you couldn’t leave the parking garage. So when we wanted to go outside of Austin and came back we had to pay $40 and then we paid $80 to keep it overnight. The hotel was cool but not worth your money, save it and go to Aloft. Which is right on 7th street. I wish we were told all this. Also not to mention we wanted to cancel our stay due to emergency and they said they would charge us the full amount of the hotel room. So beware of this entire hotel.

The worse hotel I staying in , the room is so small that you can’t move , I don’t know how I pay 700 for the nite , never hit my room clean , no coffee or water in room
