As the old saw goes, “you get what you pay for” and comparing this hotel to the Super 8 where we usually stay really drives that home. Very nice, roomy and well appointed. Excellent shower. Many, many electrical outlets, real ‘fridge, oven, small kitchen table. A real and complete kitchen. Best breakfast we’ve ever had in a hotel situation. Nice and comfy lobby. However, we had a very hard time getting our room cleaned one afternoon...asked multiple times, usual cock'nbull excuses. Also neither of our cards would work on the back door...near both our room and the car. Just annoyances Still an excellent hotel. Def’n do over.
I thought the Marriott Brand indicated a certain standard of quality and/or attention to detail, apparently not true. This is THE WORST Residence Inn I have ever stayed at. The hotel is unmaintained and gross. I waited at the front desk for ten minutes before someone showed up to check me in. When I commented on how long I waited, the front desk clerk said he was busy helping another guest. He also said that the hotel was completely full, so they only had one person working when the hotel was full. Upon arriving into our room, our window fell out, literally the whole window. We managed to put it back in and then realized that entire room was in complete disrepair. The bathroom shower curtain liner is cheap plastic, the bed is worn and fraying, the fixtures are old and unkempt. At breakfast, the milk had gone bad and was sour!! It was truly unbelievable! It’s just really, really bad. I stay at Marriott properties because I expect them to be clean, well-maintained and nice. We would have been off at some off-brand place considering the experience here. Don’t stay here.
At first, there is noise from the vent, At night when Air Condition stopped, then the traffic noise from the freeway wake me up in the middle of night. This stay has lowered my overall ratings on Residence inn.
This hotel offers excellent breakfast in the mornings... my house was under construction in Austin and spend a couple of days at this hotel everything was good until this Hispanic lady that works in the breakfast section as a cook and I don’t even remember her name ask me are you a guest? I said yes, I guess is a protocol so next day I get my breakfast at 945 am and she gets mad because it was to late to eat according whit her so she did it again whit a bad attitude, I said yes and then she ask me for my name and room In a rude way acting as a security guard. I work for the department of defense (ARMY) and spend nights in different hotels and never felt that way I’m guessing she judge me because I’m Hispanic and she assumed I can’t afford a night at this hotel...wrong judgment from her side I feel discriminated from my own Hispanic people very unprofessional, rude, and racist... But there is my good apples another young lady name Wendy at the breakfast section as well she is very sweet and kindness super professional keeping everything stacked and hot make me feel like at home... all the staff very friendly even housekeeping good job ...unfortunately there is always one...
Our biggest issue was the linens. It's way past time to change them out. The sheets had a lot of stains. Blankets were torn and tattered. The mattress was cheap as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay though. The breakfast was great - good selection. The staff was nice. The rooms have the perfect setup for a family.
We enjoyed a quiet stay at this hotel. Its clean, and convenient, and a good place to stay. Staff was cheerful and always helpful. Breakfast was good with a pleasant variety. The rooms were perfectly sized.Wifi was fast . Only downer was the pool which was really small. Overall, we give this hotel an A+, and will definitely stay here again.
We checked in on a Friday to attend a family function and stayed a total of two nights. The rooms were small, the hotel has a rundown air about it. On the back of our bathroom door was dirt or something I have been splattered and look like it had been there for a while. The walls are absolutely paperthin and our next-door neighbors were very noisy. We are members of Hilton honors and we stay at a lot of Marriott resort properties and this does not rise to the level of what we are used to finding. The staff was nice however just don’t do it. Get into our room alone was like walking through a maze and not a friendly one. The pool was tiny. Parking was limited. We were just not place with our stay. We traveled as a couple plus our teenage son. We didn’t travel with a lot of stuff but it still felt like the room was really small. Our window opened up to look out I onto a Home Depot. when we go back this will not be where we stay.
We came up there from out of town to go to a graduation , We had a great time, the staff was outstanding room service was awesome we will surely come back again ! our suite was very spacious had everything we needed! Very clean !
I found this hotel to be to pricey for the condition of the building/rooms. The rooms carried an annoying “old building” odor that set my allergies off the charts. Even the teenagers said the room smelled like “musty humidity”. In addition, the walls were very thin. Our teens had a difficult time getting to sleep due to roller yelling at each other around midnight. Our girls knocked on the wall and politely asked them to be quiet, and they knocked back. The sofa bed mattress was very flimsy, so my son sleep on top of the sofa one night and on the floor the second night. The rooms are well equipped with kitchen amenities, and this would be a good place to stay if it were not for the odor of the building being dated and the thin walls. The ceilings were low and looked a little dingy. I noticed while sitting at the pool (which is tiny) that there was a really strong version of the moldy odor that I smelled in the room. The breakfast offerings were great. I wish I could rate this hotel higher, but having to open windows to air out the room and being forced to use my inhaler (because something in the room made it difficult for me to breathe) prevents me from doing so. I was weary of this hotel after reading reviews, but other hotels with enough space for 5, had similar reviews about the buildings being dated.
Rooms had dated furniture. Hotel itself was way to close to 35 and noisy. Did not get a good nights sleep. Moved the next day to where I am accustom. Staff was nice and helpful when I moved. They were not a problem at all...just the property location and furnishings.
