Early arrival in North Augusta, we checked into our hotel, it was already cool and nice and quiet!! We decided to run out for dinner and drive around Augusta for awhile. We got back in, our room during the stay was clean, quiet, and great!! The breakfast area was great awesome, too!!
very clean, friendly, right off I20, plenty of food around, close to putt putt, easy to get around area, free wifi, free breakfast, free newspapers, beds very comfortable, pillows were amazing to sleep on!
Very Euro with wall hooks in room, huge shower/no tub, bright, welcoming, and quiet rooms. Caution...beds are high up making it difficult to get in or out of bed for anyone with shoulder problems or advanced age. We had to get a stool for my small, 94 yo mother to use. Maybe the handicap rooms are better equipped for this need. The staff was a tribute to the notion of southern hospitality. Guest safety also was apparent with an attentive front desk staff at all hours.
Located conveniently off I20 and Stevens Creek Road in Augusta, Ga surrounded by bountiful restaurant choices including Veracruz (we visited several times) the Holiday inn Express north is a welcoming hotel. Landscaping was manicured with flowers and shrubbery. Housekeeping seemed continual inside and on the grounds; the interior smelled fresh and clean. Arriving in Augusta, Monday April 9th after a 9-hour drive, we were greeted by Marquis and Dana at the front desk. “Checking in was a breeze” just as advertised—Express. Our reservations had previously been confirmed by the Mgr Selena who was courteous and very professional. Each morning we were greeted by Front desk staff Tina, Selena, or Marquis. Tasia ensured the breakfast buffet was fully stocked. She was also busy clearing and cleaning tables. The excellent variety including fresh fruit, eggs, or omelettes, pancakes, boiled eggs and choice of pastries; Saturday we did arrive a little past 9:00 and Tesa made a special effort to have fresh biscuits and gravy. We also read the local newspaper provided each morning. Each evening we returned to the hotel to enjoy the large heated pool and jacuzzi; each time greeted by courteous front desk staff including Natasha and Selena. We appreciated seeing Tammy from housekeeping cleaning hallway windows and keeping us in clean towels in the fitness area. One extra we noted was 2-ply toilet paper. How nice! Feeling of home. Returning late Friday evening Victoria in housekeeping provided us much needed additional fresh towels and toiletries. Again we observed Brandin from security making sure we were secure. We would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn Express North as a couple or family mini retreat holiday destination or for the business travelers or sports enthusiasts in Augusta for a variety of events S Moynihan Yorktown va
Nice and friendly staff. Came via a booking from Your golf travel so not direct. They had daily travel transfers to the golf and were extremely friendly. Beds in the twin were both large and comfy. Rooms are fairly basic as per expectation by coffee, tv etc all fine. Breakfast supplies pancakes fresh and other pastries etc plus plenty of coffee, milk and juice. Didn’t try the pool, it’s not the best looking in the car park so a bit open but when it’s hot I’m sure it gets plenty of use. Good people eager to please.
Came here for a medical appointment at the VA. Room was ready at 3pm, and was a spacious corner king leisure. Was disappointed that we didn't get the full shower without the bathtub as promised when I called to make sure before reserving. I have hip issues, and hate stepping into a tub.I was told the showers were available to king only rooms. Not so. Make sure you reiterate that fact upon check in folks. Also, there was mold on the bathtub. It was not a small amount either. Dead bugs in the light fixture over the tub was real appetizing. Our safe was broken the morning we left for our appointment, so we had to take our two laptops with us to hospital. Didn't have time to tell the front desk as we had to be at the hospital at 7. Notified them upon return and it was replaced within in the hour....late for us, but if someone had told them prior to our stay, we could have used it. My point. If you stay at a hotel, and you have issues....PLEASE let the staff know. The housekeeping will not say anything, they have other things to do with their day....it is upon you, the guest to let the front desk know if you have a problem with the room. I am sure if I mentioned the mold, it would have been gone today. They are really that attentive, and I appreciate that. I loved our room, it was a corner room with two windows. We loved watching all the folks do their thing outside! Room was quiet, and the hotel was fully booked both nights we were there. Breakfast was basic carb central, with yogurt and fruits too. They have bath and body works sundries which I loved. Not enough, but I loved them. ALSO...the pillows are horrid. TOO SOFT. I hate feather pillows, and thankfully I had two extra towels to shove in my pillow case to make them firmer. Not everyone likes to sink to the bottom, I like support. The coffeemaker is a keurig so bring your own k cups, They provide only two regular caff and one decaff and then two teas. REALLY? We brought our own from home. You can get brewed coffee in the breakfast area 24 hours a day though. All in all a pleasant stay. Room was clean, quiet and comfy, the staff is on point, and the parking was ample. Yes, I would stay again. Great job guys!
After reading several reviews on hotels in Augusta, I made a reservation for my mom and sister to stay at this hotel for one night on Feb. 10. I met them at the hotel. It is located right off of the highway. It is located in an area that has various restaurants. Parking is free. The thing that stood out with us is every employee that we encountered greeted us and was genuinely nice. The housekeeping staff went out of their way to help us with the luggage cart. On one occasion, they were putting carts on an elevator. My sister walked up and was going to wait on another elevator. The housekeeping staff members told her that she could have their elevator. When she told them that she did not mind waiting, they said that they could wait for another elevator. They then removed the carts so she would not have to wait. This made her feel like a valued guest. The property inside and out was very clean. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. The hotel was quiet. The continental breakfast was well stocked and had a variety of items. Even though there are several hotels close to it, I am glad that I selected this one.
Beautiful hotel brand new, rooms extremely comfortable and the staff so nice. The breakfast bar is super. I travel all the time and try to stay at holiday inn express chains , I will try to stay here again
Nice, clean, well maintained property in a very convenient part of town at an affordable price. This is what I expect from a Holiday Inn Express, not what so many of them are becoming. However, I was disappointed that I did not receive a room upgrade since the hotel appeared to be mostly empty.
It had been a while since I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express. It was a good experience again. Good service at front desk and well equipped rooms. WIFI is free and breakfast is included. Hotel is conveniently located and lot of places closeby for dinner, coffee etc. Solid stay if you are in the area.
