We enjoyed our stay. Liked the courtyard and champagne. The towels were not very soft and no robes. The cleaning staff did an excellent job. Parking was expensive for being in an empty lot in front of the hotel.

The hotel was attractive and the price seemed reasonable, until of course learned about the tacked on 30 dollars per night to park outside, in front of the hotel. I guess that's on me for not looking closely on the website... The real problem was the ridiculous noise level, making sleep nearly impossible. I notice a complimentary set of ear plugs in the room and wondered who does that and why, until i got settled in the room. Noise began in the early evening coming through the ceiling,, walls, everything. I could hear every conversation and it sounded like they were playing a game of soccer on the ceiling. I had booked two nights and thought it might be just that night, but the second night was the same. I guess the moral is, don't be fooled by the trendy vibe and if you are "gifted" a set of earplugs, head for the door. When I brought this to their attention I was pretty much told to take it up with hotels,com, which seemed like a pretty stupid response to me. More importantly I wanted to make others aware, especially if a decent night's sleep is important to you!

Omg this place is a whole vibe. The staff was great at check in. The bartender was great. Whatever playlist they were playing had me grooving all the way to my room. The room was spacious and comfy. Loved every minute I was there. I was looking forward to the yoga class but no one showed up.

The Darwin is a very pleasant place to stay with a very friendly and helpful staff. Since we were staying for 4 nights they upgraded us to a nicer room which I really appreciated as with a sore knee I couldn't go out that much. Also easy parking in a quiet walkable neighborhood.
