very friendly and excellent breakfast; staff were attentive and the rooms were clean and comfortable

Holter is walking distance to downtown Athens. Very nice staff amd rooms. The breakfast is ok,but I would recommend going out over it.

This is one of my go to hotels when returning home. The hotel staff is always pleasant. The hotel is old but decently kept up - no funny odors or large inexplicable stains on the carpet. The area is relatively quiet. This last stay was a little less than up to par for the hotel. The shower was slow draining and after I was in the shower with water past my ankles, I took the 2 minutes needed and cleaned out the big wad of hair in the drain. This usually means to me that the maid is not cleaning the shower after someones stay because I would think a slow drain would be noticed if you are cleaning a shower. It did put me off a little bit and cleaned the shower my self. This is also the first time I have used the elevators because of a knee injury. The elevators are slow and rickety at best. They do get you up and down but not without causing you moments of worry about their safety. Overall tho, I would stay again and would recommend the hotel to others.

In the heart of downtown. Close to shopping and restaurants.

I booked the room to get a good night sleep after a long day of work. Room was noisy on parking lot, you could hear all the pipes, the ac unit in room cut on and off every 3mins and jarred the room each time, the tv had a loud buzzing sound if you turned it up past 3, as soon as I got to sleep at 1am the phone rang...another guest thinking my room was the front desk. One side is a deadend parking lot with a very narrow center. They should leave the last two spaces vacant so large vehicles can turn around. I got stuck at the end in a very large cargo van and had to back all tthe way out. I wasn't expecting Lowes for $90 but I was expecting a basic quiet well maintained room for a solid 6 hours of sleep before I had to go back to work . This hotel did not meet my expectation.

Yes, this hotel met my exceptions. I knew before staying there that it is a 3 star hotel and everything corresponded to a 3-star level hotel. Also, location is great and there is a city shuttle that stops there to provide rides to Atlanta Int'l Airport.

It was short but sweet. Close to campus and restaurants. Room was perfect.

The location to the university was good. Nothing else very special or unique. It's a place to stay.

Typical for a Holiday Inn. Above average free breakfast! Good location, close to downtown and UGA>

It was OK, I would stay there again. The hotel is close to downtown, easy walking distance to local entertainment and shopping and dining. Easy access to the highway too.

The hotel is clean and quiet. The location is convenient. The people working there are nice. The complimentary breakfast is nice. It is a good choice for family travel.

Good location and nice value for UGA and Athens activities.

Nice hotel, great breakfast with many hot items to choose from. A little bit of a walk from main downtown/university area, but good location for the price. Friendly staff.

I was exhausted after traveling from my last city. The room and location was nice. However I asked for front desk to call me cab and they did. The cab never showed up After waiting 20minutes. Not hotels fault but I decided to order delivery. Front desk staff helped me place my order. I appreciate that. The next morning I had a terrible headache and asked front desk if they had any aleve. She stated we only have what is in the medicine cabinet. Which was not completely full only had two items. So I had to drive to nearest store to get aleve.

This hotel has one of the weakest internet services possible, so if you have work to do or communication needed, it is NOT the place to stay. The front desk staff were very inattentive to guest needs; we observed gross insensitivity to an elderly couple who needed directions to I85 and the young lady was impatient and not helpful. We were shocked. The rooms are also VERY noisy. We will not be staying here again.

Pros: 1. Location was perfect, we walked to everything our entire time there. 2. Best free breakfast i have ever had (Omelettes, Sausage, Biscuits and gravy). 3. Had the SEC channel Cons 1. Our room had a tiny bathroom

Located just 3 blocks from downtown Athens and Univ. of GA. just 4 blocks from the Georgia Theatre. Halls smelled a little musty, but other than that, a good deal and good location. Nice room. Comfortable king bed.

The hotel price was great and the location to downtown was great. I could only complain about the noise. There was a lot of young kids in the hotel and they were loud!

Great location. Free parking, but limited spots and very small parking spaces. Room was clean, nothing fancy.
