This is a downtown European hotel with all the issues that downtown European hotels typically have. Parking is non-existent and space is at a premium. In this hotel, the room was sizable enough, but the shower was too cramped to adequately shower. The staff was perfect. They knew the restaurants to go to and they efficiently took care of all of our needs.

the hotel is fine for its price you can not ask for more, the area is extremely dangerous, the person in the lobby is very rude, although afterwards I understood that they in the place are so rude, they charged me $ 30 more than I understand It was orbitz's fault, the only good thing was the breakfast

The rooms in the hotel are small but clean If you are by yourself that is ok but I imaging it is hard for families or even couples

Staff were wonderful and helpful.. would definitely stay again

I found the Chic hotel to be everything I look for in a hotel clean friendly and efficient. The hotel is not in the tourist section as such the prices of food and basic needs are much lower. The hotel is centrally located very close to public transportation, Making it easy to get to from airport and easy to access popular attractions

This was the best hotel out of the other 3 i stayed in un Greece. Comfortable beds, clean showers and the room and hotel was overall chic! Would definitely recommend!

Nice hotel near metro station. We enjoyed our stay.

After reading past reviews of the location I completely don't understand why they thought the area was of a hooligan area. Granted, it was not a 5 star neighborhood but those that criticized it must have not been many places before. We did not ever feel threatened. The hotel staff were excellent and we had a great experience. Proximity to the main tourist sights were a plus. For the cost would definitely recommend.

Excelllent facilities, clean & modern. Staff very helpful. Excellent breakfast in terms of quality, service & hours of duration. And don't be put off by the location. Nearby Omonia Square (a short walk), the Metro stop, is lively, busy neighborhood well into the night, if not an elegant one. I felt safe there on this occasions & prior visits.

The hotel was really nice and the front desk was exceptional!

Shower only 2.25' X 2.75'. No place to put soap, other than on floor. Liquid shop dispenser was empty. Were told new hotel policy is to stop using dispenser. Shower's arm was broken and very hard to use in such a small area. After 3 days of repeated complaints they fixed it 2 hours before we checked out after three nights of stay. Staff was nice and polite, but not empowered.

We came here quickly on a short trip from Istanbul for only two days. If you get picked up from the airport, ask for Mr. Kostas. Really friendly and took us on a tour of Athens , showing us the sights as he drove to the hotel. He had a little tablet with pictures of places too which was great. The woman at the front desk was really friendly and welcoming so kudos to them for choosing great staff. The area was okay, we read the reviews before about it not being safe so we didn't travel at night and came well before dark. So I can't comment about that. Bathroom has opaque doors, a little weird but not awful. Location was not bad, a small walk to the Metro and it's easy to get around the subway system.

We stayed at the Chic Hotel Athens for three nights in April 2014. The hotel is in a very convenient location, right next to Omonia Square subway. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to Monastariki Square, and along the way there is the central market that is entertaining (particularly the fish market). The room itself was very clean and comfortable. However, if you stay here, be sure to request a room not on the street side if you're a light sleeper. Our room faced a main street and the traffic noise kept us awake for parts of the night. Also, the wifi was spotty for most of the time. But aside from that, I think for the location, price, and cleanliness, I would definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, though the room was too small to qualify as four star in most countried. The maid was extremely, extremely solitius and helpful, but only one of the three desk clerks spoke reasonable English. The hotel is about 300-400 yards or meters from Omonia subway station where two of the thre subway lines of Athens cross, so it was easy to get around. The area is pretty depressed however, and restaurants are lacking.

The CHIC hotel is an oasis in the middle of a very bleak area. The streets surrounding the hotel are questionable, probably because of the faltering economy. There are many homeless and drug impaired persons and even a park where drugs are prepared in open areas within a block of the hotel. The hotel itself was more than adequate. It was modern, clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent and included in the room cost. The staff were extremely helpful and eager to please

beautiful room, central location, fantastic staff who went way out their way to be helpful. Highly recommended.

Nice stylish hotel wth everything you need including a laptop free of charge to borrow for up to an hour. The breakfast buffet was very nice with Greek pastries, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, fruit etc. Location is commercial with only fast food in the immediate area. Only 2 blocks to the Metro so very convenient (on days when there wasn't a transit strike!)

Great hotel staff, very nice little rooms with fee wi fi ,breakfast ok Very near important metro station "omonia" one block away The neighborhood is quite ugly and seems dangerous, people selling and consuming drugs one block away.

The hotel is very well run. The front desk staff went out of their way to help us with anything we needed including advice for restaurants, shopping, tours, etc. They spoke English very well. The free breakfast was very good. Always fresh with lots of variety. We felt safe when we were in the hotel and they have flat screen TVs and free WiFi in every room. The hotel is very well located within the city and many important locations are within walking distance. However, the neighborhood around the hotel for about a three block radius is tough. At night we were a little apprehensive about walking this area, although nothing ever happened. Just be cautious and aware at night.

The stuff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is quite good. What more to ask? Maybe a better area to stay as this area is realy dangerous to walk in the night. Its full of foreigners that look guite dangerous. If you can avoid them you will have a nice time.
