Nice and typical decorated Greek hotel with views of and close to Acropolis, Zeus temple and 1896 Olympic stadium. Good breakfast and rooms

We stayed at this hotel two years ago and decided the experience from back then warranted a repeat visit. This time the customer service was atrocious and the upgraded executive suite does not include the breakfast anymore. That changed in the last month since we made our reservation. When. We did try to go for breakfast, we were lambasted by one of the servers for going up the stairs the back way instead of through the elevator. Both access points were clearly marked as freely accessible. The server then yelled out that the breakfast was not included in our package and that the cost would be 50 Euro. I don't have a problem paying for service, but the guy made it seem like he was doing us a favor and that we were going to have to appreciate him doing us the favor of allowing us to stay for breakfast. I am not a confrontational guy. I practice constraint with those in the service industry, but this guy needs a class on etiquette and customer service. I will not be staying at the Royal Olympic in the future. The experience has marred my past experience with them and made for a bad morning.

Located close to friendly cafes, souvenir shops, and the Acropolis, the Royal Olympic is the place to be! The view of the Acroplolis is a lovely setting to enjoy the magnificently delicious morning breakfast buffet and savor a glass of wine before bed. From the hotel, you can explore windy streets full of charm and hospitality. The room was clean and tidy, had a comfortable mattress, and hot water in the shower. I would recommend this place to my friends and I would gladly stay here again! Kudos to the staff and services...it was great!

So close to everything. Too close. I pumped some change in to the Athens economy. It is a beautiful hotel.

Close to all the ruins and museums in Athens. One does not need a car to see all the sites.

The Royal Olympic was the perfect choice for us and our friends who were with us. It's within walking distance of so much you'd want to see and just a short walk to the Hop-on, Hop-off bus, which gives you the overview you need before setting out to explore in-depth. The rooftop dining room has the most wonderful view of the Parthenon, so we had drinks outside one evening and dinner the next. The breakfast that is complimentary with the room is delicious and has an array of choices. We even appreciated the 120-volt outlet in the room because neither of our group could get curling irons to work in the other outlets at any hotels, even with a converter and adapter. The staff was attentive and helpful, though our first evening the waiter was a bit haughty. He improved on subsequent visits, however, perhaps when he figured out we were staying at the hotel. All in all, I highly recommend it.

Great stay. Hotel is top notch. Excellent service. Breakfast buffet was outstanding.

Very conveniently located hotel. Close to several tourist locations, great restaurants and shopping. The hotel restaurant was very expensive so my recommendation is to find places outside the hotel.

When we go on vacation the last thing we should worry about is the air conditioning. We suffered in the room. The average temperature had to be above 80. Difficult to sleep when you warm.

The staff was very accommodating when we arrived 5 hours before check-in time. They took care of our bags and we ate lunch at their restaurant, which by the way has a spectacular view of the Acropolis. They provided us with a map of Athens and drew how to get to the Acropolis and other sites we wanted to visit,

Great bargain. Great location. Complimentary breakfast was very delicious.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Athens and wanted to go to the main tourist attractions. The local was ideal and the breakfast was everything I could have wanted out of a breakfast buffet--incredible view of the Acropolis included. I gave it suboptimal ratings for comfort just because the beds were not the most comfortable but I have pretty high standards for beds and these were just fine.

Very nice hotel, we were very happy with the location and cleanliness of the Hotel, all the staff was very accommodating. Breakfast buffet was good but a bit boring after the third day of the same thing. Overall I would stay again !!

Beautiful hotel with a lovely rooftop bar and restaurant. The included breakfast there was excellent and had a gorgeous view of the Temple of Zeus and the Acropolis. However, we had requested a quiet room on an upper floor and were given a room on the third floor, but overlooking a very busy and extremely noisy street! The windows did little to block the traffic noise. We requested a move to a quiet room and were given a second floor room, interior view over pool ... very nice but now without a bidet. Super location and most beautiful common areas (lobby, etc.).

fabulous service and views, great location. I will definitely recommend

We could not have asked for a better hotel. We were looking for a low budget option the night before we departed to Santorini to spend our honeymoon. We booked this hotel because of the excellent price. We ended up loving it! We were able to walk to most of the sites in Athens from the location. The breakfast was out of this world. The views of the Acropolis were simply amazing. There was nothing like seeing ancient structures from your room window. The rooms were large. This is everything you would expect from a luxury hotel, just at a very reasonable cost.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel was conveniently located and within walking distance to most attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. While the pool area was small we were still able to find lounge chairs and it was nice to have an outdoor space to relax in after a long morning out sightseeing. The only aspect of the hotel that we did not enjoy was the rooftop restaurant. While the service was great the food was inedible and very expensive. We ended up having to go out to find another place to eat. Overall we would definitely stay here again in the future but would remember not to eat at the restaurant!

We just unpacked from the trip to Greece and found that we are missing two murano glass necklaces bought in Venice, Italy two weeks ago. We would like to file a claim with you. I saw the two boxs with necklaces three days ago at Royal Olympic Hotel inside the luggage. I figured at a 5 star hotel, the staff should be honest and not taking personal items from guests luggage. We stayed in Italy two weeks prior and nothing was taken from the luggage and they were 4 star hotels. This is disappointing as we cannot replace these gifts for the family. We paid 20 euros each. This is very disturbing that the hotel charged us 50 euros over the market price for a one day mini island cruise on top of taking our Italian gifts. Please email me and let me know what you can do to help us. Thanks, Jennie King

I love my trip to Greece. Hotel was beautiful but expensive.

Clean, great location. Tremendous rooftop bar. Short walk from shopping. Right next to the Temple of Zeus
