Lovely hotel experience at all expectation levels.

Comfortable and close to bus station and attractions. Walking distance to shopping.

I reserved a panoramic suite for our 20th anniversary trip to Athens. Prior to arrival I contacted the hotel and asked if possible could we have early check in since we will be traveling from the states. When we checked in they were able to accommodate us at first. We were shown to our room which was NOT a panoramic suite. It was a musty deluxe room; it was the exact room picture that was listed on orbitz under the deluxe room. We went to check in and they told me that all the panoramic rooms were a bit different. I get there might me a few differences but half the size, one small window, and no tub is not a small difference. So were told we would have to wait until 3pm for a room to be available so we did. When we went back to check in at 3pm there was another gentleman there and our first guy was nowhere to be seen. I asked if we could check on our room, we were handed a key and we did not give our name to the new guy. We got our pantomimic room but they made sure they gave us the lowest floor possible.I would stay there again but would stand my ground to get what I paid for

This hotel is in a great location in Plaka across from the park and the Temple of Zeus. Quick walk to Acropolis Museum and Acropolis subway stop. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool is great, and good selection of food and drink that you can order from the pool staff. Rooftop bar and restaurant is amazing. Breakfast is up there with an amazing view and a huge selection of food and beverages to pick from. Dinner was pretty pricey compared to most other restaurants around downtown Athens with similar views. Great staff, service, and food if you do happen to eat up there one night. Definitely recommend!

Overall good quality hotel, close to the center of Athens and the Acropolis.

I had to switch rooms because the shower was draining slowly and when it drained it backed up into the toilet area causing a flood in the bathroom. The second room we went to, it was already flooded in the bathroom. At that point we just wanted to get out of there so we switched hotels.

The hotel is beautiful on the outside and the lobby is also beautiful. However, our room was mediocre. They put two single beds together to make a queen/kingish sized bed. My friend literally fell in between the beds in the middle of the night. Don't know if I would stay here again.

Nice and typical decorated Greek hotel with views of and close to Acropolis, Zeus temple and 1896 Olympic stadium. Good breakfast and rooms

We stayed at this hotel two years ago and decided the experience from back then warranted a repeat visit. This time the customer service was atrocious and the upgraded executive suite does not include the breakfast anymore. That changed in the last month since we made our reservation. When. We did try to go for breakfast, we were lambasted by one of the servers for going up the stairs the back way instead of through the elevator. Both access points were clearly marked as freely accessible. The server then yelled out that the breakfast was not included in our package and that the cost would be 50 Euro. I don't have a problem paying for service, but the guy made it seem like he was doing us a favor and that we were going to have to appreciate him doing us the favor of allowing us to stay for breakfast. I am not a confrontational guy. I practice constraint with those in the service industry, but this guy needs a class on etiquette and customer service. I will not be staying at the Royal Olympic in the future. The experience has marred my past experience with them and made for a bad morning.

Located close to friendly cafes, souvenir shops, and the Acropolis, the Royal Olympic is the place to be! The view of the Acroplolis is a lovely setting to enjoy the magnificently delicious morning breakfast buffet and savor a glass of wine before bed. From the hotel, you can explore windy streets full of charm and hospitality. The room was clean and tidy, had a comfortable mattress, and hot water in the shower. I would recommend this place to my friends and I would gladly stay here again! Kudos to the staff and services...it was great!

So close to everything. Too close. I pumped some change in to the Athens economy. It is a beautiful hotel.

Close to all the ruins and museums in Athens. One does not need a car to see all the sites.

The Royal Olympic was the perfect choice for us and our friends who were with us. It's within walking distance of so much you'd want to see and just a short walk to the Hop-on, Hop-off bus, which gives you the overview you need before setting out to explore in-depth. The rooftop dining room has the most wonderful view of the Parthenon, so we had drinks outside one evening and dinner the next. The breakfast that is complimentary with the room is delicious and has an array of choices. We even appreciated the 120-volt outlet in the room because neither of our group could get curling irons to work in the other outlets at any hotels, even with a converter and adapter. The staff was attentive and helpful, though our first evening the waiter was a bit haughty. He improved on subsequent visits, however, perhaps when he figured out we were staying at the hotel. All in all, I highly recommend it.

Great stay. Hotel is top notch. Excellent service. Breakfast buffet was outstanding.

Very conveniently located hotel. Close to several tourist locations, great restaurants and shopping. The hotel restaurant was very expensive so my recommendation is to find places outside the hotel.

When we go on vacation the last thing we should worry about is the air conditioning. We suffered in the room. The average temperature had to be above 80. Difficult to sleep when you warm.

The staff was very accommodating when we arrived 5 hours before check-in time. They took care of our bags and we ate lunch at their restaurant, which by the way has a spectacular view of the Acropolis. They provided us with a map of Athens and drew how to get to the Acropolis and other sites we wanted to visit,

Great bargain. Great location. Complimentary breakfast was very delicious.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Athens and wanted to go to the main tourist attractions. The local was ideal and the breakfast was everything I could have wanted out of a breakfast buffet--incredible view of the Acropolis included. I gave it suboptimal ratings for comfort just because the beds were not the most comfortable but I have pretty high standards for beds and these were just fine.

Very nice hotel, we were very happy with the location and cleanliness of the Hotel, all the staff was very accommodating. Breakfast buffet was good but a bit boring after the third day of the same thing. Overall I would stay again !!
