This is the best moderately priced hotel I have ever stayed in! Centrally located, super breakfast, colorful and clean. We arrived early in the day after spending the night in the Tel Aviv Airport, and they let us check in - and take advantage of the breakfast that was still available! There is a wonderful view of the Acropolis from the lovely open area on the top floor. If you stay in the hotel, be sure to check out the Bouloukos Kebab place around the corner; delicious, cheap food.

We stayed in the Athens Centre Square hotel after a LOT of deliberation and research on here as to the best place to stay for comfort, location and price. Having seen such a vast range of prices and options having seen soo many people rate this hotel we decided to go for it. I will put it out there straight away and say the hotel is basic. Basic but brilliant. If you are looking for a large 5* hotel with a pool, restaurants and spa facilities as such this isn't the place for you. However if you are looking for a centrally located, easy to access, cheap hotel with everything you need to base your Athens adventure from then this is where you need to be! The hotels location is brilliant. Located a 5 min walk away from the Monastiraki square just outside of the food market it is easy to find. We got the Metro from the airport which cost us €10 each as opposed to a €40 taxi and it was 16 stops on the blue line and a 5 minute walk. The best way to save money easily when staying! The Monistiraki is one of the best metro stations as it is 1 stop to Syntagma square and then another 1 stop to the Akropoli station. This will easily get you about if you need to so to be so close will make things very quick and easy. Within the vicinity you also have the Adrianou street which is a hustling bustling street full of cafes, taverna's and some of the best gyros and souvlaki stops in Athens. On arrival we were quickly welcomed and checked into our room before being advised of some of the best places to visit. There is a tea / coffee bar in reception which is self service and available 24hrs. The hotel also has a roof bar which has some brilliant views of the Acropolis and Athens skyline. Due to the building height restriction it gives panoramic views which are the best way to enjoy the evening. We stayed in room 207 of which was a standard double room. If I'm honest the room was a little tired, it was equipped with everything we needed but some little bits that are usually seen in hotels like the grouting in the bathroom etc need some attention. The hotel is a 3* and easily provides you everything you need to get your head down for some sleep, recharge, shower and go again. When in Athens you really do spend minimal time in your hotel and this ones gives you everything you need. Also the air con is fantastic. In April we experienced 36 degrees and to come back to a nice chilled room with feet on fire after a lot of climbing, hiking and walking it was lovely. The view of room 207 is of a wall...You can pay extra to have a view of the Acropolis but we decided to be out of the hotel seeing it as opposed to viewing it from the hotel bedroom. As a recommendation I would request a high room away from the lift. Being on the 2nd floor the lift was up and down a lot and shares a wall with the lift so if you are a light sleeper you may struggle. We were going to ask about moving after the first night but after a full day walking in Athens once your head hits the pillow you are out! The rooms come with a free breakfast as well which is a great addition. It is small but good quality with something for everyone. We were down most days for 7am when it opened and all was hot and fresh and a great way to prep for the day. All in all I would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again. Maybe request a high floor room away from the lift mind!

Great location to see the Psiri neighborhood where locals shop for food stuff and products. Vegetable market is at the front door and Central Market is half a block. Main squares are within a few blocks. Cheap eats nearby, and some nicer restaurants. Rooms are nice and adequate. Breakfast is good. Not overly noisy from street. Beds are a bit too stiff for us.

Best location, excellent service, confortable room, delicious breakfast, hotel very near to the market, 15 min walk to acropolise and most attractions. Hotel is highly recommended and will certainly visit again.

This is an excellent, professionally managed and great value three star hotel located in an interesting area of Athens. We stayed for five nights in a Lycabettus View room(801).The room had a large terrace.A large modern bathroom with his and hers sink.Unfortunately the shower tended to overflow into the rest of the bathroom plus we could have done with hooks/shelves near to the sink to place towels/wash bags on.The bedroom had a kingsize(?) bed with a firm comfortable mattress. The room was kept immaculately clean. We received a gift of wine and cakes from the manager which was much appreciated. The breakfast, which is included in the room rate, gave a good choice of Greek items. The yoghurt with honey I particularly enjoyed. There was also a selection of hot items with bacon or sausages on alternate days.A great start to the day.The elderly lady in the breakfast room was very considerate and always seemed to have a smile on her face. The manager visited the room one morning to speak to individual guests, check that there were no problems and offer advise.Great customer service. The reception staff were friendly and happy to offer advise. Outside the hotel is part of the fruit market and to the right across the main road is a large meat and fish market. To the left of the hotel entrance is a road with two excellent restaurants one a deli/restaurant the other a popular neighbourhood restaurant (see separate reviews). In the side streets are a number of local shops. The spice shop in the street behind the hotel offers great value with helpful staff. If you are going to Monastiraki Square it is worth walking down some of the side streets rather than the main road to get there. On a negative note we were followed by a pickpocket gang of three women and one man from the meat/fish market down towards Monastiraki Square. They tried to dip my back pocket. An unpleasant experience.Be alert! I would have no hesitation in staying in this hotel again.I also loved the vibrancy of the neighbourhood. The hotel is highly recommended

Stayed here for two nights during my staying Athens. Easy walk to Acropolis, shopping, food, etc. Rooms are nice enough, staff is nice, and close to most things you'll need. There's a mini outdoor market right outside the hotel, and full market up the street.

Located in a crowded market area has basic compact room with few rooms on the top floor provide Acropolis view at a premium (which not really required). They have a good roof top restaurant with view of Acropolis (Open only post winter). There is a common coffee maker and biscuits kept at common area near reception. They have breakfast served early for people getting on early ferries. The closest station is Monastiraki about 200 mts away. You have the Hard Rock Cafe and lot of joints to explore around the hotel. You can collect the hop-in bus tickets from the reception. Over all a good place to stay to explore from heart of the city.

The Athens Centre hotel. Great value for money. Simple, basic room. The hotel backs on to a raised area with open drug taking which is a little off putting although we saw no trouble. The rooftop bar wasn’t open whilst we visited. The location is good to walk to all the main sights and great to have a view of the acropolis from the roof. Breakfast was great here, especially the delicious Greek yoghurt. Athens is a wonderful city with so much to do so we only really used this place to get some sleep. Bring earplugs and you’ll be fine.

This review is loooong overdue since I stayed last summer but I was looking at my next vacation spot and remembered I forgot to review this place! Anyways this hotel made it very easy for me to hit all the sights in Athens within walking distance at a very affordable price. the hotel was very quiet at night which I liked and I looked forward to waking up and going to the buffet breakfast which was delicious. The bar on the roof had an amazing view of the Acropolis but was kinda dead. Only a couple other people up there when I went. I thought as a solo traveler it might be a place I could meet others but not really. More for those with company to sit back have a drink and enjoy the view. Don't know if she's still there but when I went Pavlina was very helpful and kind offering me advice on how to get to the things I wanted to see. She also wanted to make sure I had an early breakfast on the days I was taking a ferry or going to the airport ( I stayed here, went to the islands, then came back here again). Would definitely recommend for a budget stay within Athens!

Hotel is located in the city center, literally in the middle of Omonia square and Monastiraki metro station, which is really great if you are coming to the city as the tourist or for business. What came as a real surprise to us is that the hotel is located at the city fruit and vegetables market! At first we had an awkward moment, but then, we really loved it and enjoyed it very much! It is surrounded by amazing places where you can experience genuine Greek cuisine. There is a great view towards the Acropolis, and the roof top restaurant is a must. Room were very clean, staff was truly nice and helpful, and the prices are very affordable. Oh, and please don't make the mistake I did - do not skip breakfast, because it is offering a variety of Greek and international meals (if you like feta cheese, olives, pita, etc, you will know what I mean ;). All in all, it was a very good experience and we will definitely come back!
