Our family came to Ashville, NC for a vacation together. We stayed at the Residence Inn and had an unbelievable week of fun and relaxation. The hotel staff was so nice and helpful with all our requests or problems. They assisted us in knowing where to go and what to see while we were in town. Tom was the sweetest and most helpful staff member. He took care of all our needs and made us feel welcome. The rooms were extra clean and comfortable. The food was great, both breakfast and supper. When we return to Ashville, we will definitely stay at the Residence Inn on Biltmore Ave.

My husband and I went to Asheville on a family visit, and we took our cat with us. Husband booked us into this pet-friendly hotel. The lobby, breakfast area, and hallways were very clean, as was our room. We could not tell that any animals had ever been in our hotel room -- there were no stains on anything and no odors. However, our cat seemed to have a different view: she spent quite a while sniffing the floor, the furniture, and exploring every corner, before hiding under the bed. Our room had a kitchenette, which was very clean. However, due to its catsup-colored walls and black countertop, it was very dark, so it was hard to see while standing at the sink and the cooktop. To help dispel the darkness, we had to turn on every light in the room. It would be better if there was a light over the sink or under-cabinet lighting. Also, the kitchenette didn't have enough bowls and plates. Apparently, at one time, there was four of everything, but not now. We had to wash dishes a lot in order to have enough for our needs. There was a dishwasher, which was easy to use and worked very well. The coffeemaker worked well to heat up water for my tea. The room has a small dining table with two chairs and a large refrigerator. Not far from the hotel is a Whole Foods grocery, so we bought supplies there to supplement the food we'd brought with us. The room has a comfortable couch that folds out into a bed. There is also a roomy desk with a good work chair. One evening, when we had a guest for dinner, we used that desk chair as a third seat at the table. The queen-sized bed was comfortable, with a nice selection of pillows. We switched the feather pillows for hypoallergenic ones that we found in the closet. The white bedspread was lightweight (see photo), and, I was pleased to imagine, it's the kind that's washed for every guest. There were extra blankets in the closet. The bathroom contained the tub-shower and toilet; the sinks were outside it in a short hallway that also contained a large closet with mirrored doors. The bathroom floor was not large enough to accommodate our cat's litter pan, so I placed it inside one end of the closet. This worked well. We kept the closet door open just the width of the litter pan. It was close enough to the toilet to make cleanup easy. I put the cat's tiny "travel" litter pan (for the car) in the bathroom, next to the toilet, in case she might prefer to use that one, but she ignored it. Our room was on the second floor, near the end of one hallway. It was quiet. Only a couple of times during a four-day stay did we hear a dog barking, briefly. Our cat heard a lot more than we did. It took her a day to stop jumping in fright from every tiny thump or noise that she heard from adjacent rooms or in the hallway. Both the staff at the front desk and the cleaning staff were very nice. This was a pleasant place for us to stay, and also for the cat. It took her just a day to come out from under the bed, and then she seemed quite at home.

We came to Asheville to celebrate our 38th Anniversary. We have stayed at this Residence Inn twice before and its a great place. Great location, close to the Biltmore, Biltmore Village, Antique shops and also close to town. The people who work here are the best. From check in to check out very helpful, friendly and make you feel at home. One member to single out is Tom. He seemed to go out of his way to make everyone feel at home. Monday to Wednesday they have a Reception in the evening. Breakfast every morning is great. By the time we left we felt more like friends than customers. Can't wait to return to Asheville and the Residence INN.

My wife and I love Asheville and the Residence Inn is a great place to stay. Can not say enough about the staff.. especially Rebecca & Tom and the general manager.. Andrew. They all were very professional and courteous and asset to the Marriott Corp. The breakfast is terrific. One of the best aspects of staying at this Residence Inn, is High Wire brewery and tap room is right nearby (3 minute walk)! I have to say that the only downside is that there is a railroad crossing very close and also the hospital's Med flight helicopter pad is also very close by. But, the location to all things Asheville is superb. We are looking forward to many more stays at this Residence Inn!

We’ve stayed at this Residence Inn a number of times and keep coming back. Great location for exploring Asheville. Besides a daily breakfast, we’ve enjoyed the RI evening meals/socials by the fireplace. Cirenio puts out a most wonderful meal every time and he is so friendly and accommodating; he makes our stay that much nicer. We'll definitely be back!

Very spacious rooms, ample parking, kitchen with a full size refrigerator, free breakfast, nice gym, and pool. Best part is the location as it's a very easy walk to Biltmore Village for shopping and dining.

This is the first time we stayed here and we will be back.It was very comfortable and friendly. Great breakfast, too! I had forgotten how great it is to have plenty of room and a kitchenette. Very convenient. Is just a short walk to Biltmore Village.

I always stay at a Residence Inn because they are dog friendly. This is the first Residence Inn though that worked around our schedule to clean the room. We just let the front desk know the frame of time we would be out of the room with our dog and they cleaned within that time. Then we were able to come back and leave the dog knowing our room was cleaned. Rooms were very clean and the free bfast was good. Only negative with the hotel is lack of area to walk the dog. But we did finally find a street behind the hotel with grassy areas. Nice hotel to stay at in the Asheville area.

I had a wonderful three night stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Asheville. It is very close to Biltmore Village (within walking distance) and the hospital. The staff were the kindest people I could imagine – they went out of their way to ensure that I had a great stay. The rooms (mine was a two bedroom suite) was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. I would happily stay here again!

The review card in our room asked how the hotel can improve, and the only thing I could think of was to add body lotion to the complimentary toiletries! We have had a great three night stay. The location is excellent, inbetween the Biltmore Estate and Village, and downtown Asheville. ALL the staff were attentive, polite, and caring, from the super friendly guy with whom we made our phone reservation, to the manager, to the Latino guy who cares for all the food items. We asked for a quiet, sunny room, and got just that - Rm. 126. I love the suite's layout; the great sofa (not too hard; not too soft), ample lighting (so many hotels fall down on that score); that they are pet-friendly and reasonable in accommodating our pet; the Mix appetizers or meals, with wine or beer each night we were here; the warm and well-maintained pool; and 2 days for the price of one offer for Biltmore Estate tickets - a deal you cannot get at the Estate itself. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We made an excellent choice!
