Front desk and all staff are great. Rooms are a little outdated. They gave us a room with a terrible view but moved us the next day to a room that was higher up so we could have a view of the ocean. Location of hotel is great. The pool is nice, and close to the beach. The swim up pool bar is nice but they do not have good quality beer or liquor. The breakfast is good enough. The lunch and dinner buffet are both good but it is the same stuff everyday. All inclusive is not worth it.

My girlfriend and I have been to multiple all-inclusive resorts in the past and we rank this one all the way at the bottom. Let me start off by saying the beach and the island is pretty much what you will be paying for. That it’s for the good. From the start, we did not feel welcome to arrive at the resort. We were shoved into a crowded front desk and was quickly rushed through check-in. No welcome, no welcome drinks, and definitely nobody to sit us down to tell us about the resort. Instead we were rushed and told to go find a bellboy to get to your room. This was the first resort where we had to go find the room ourselves. Disappointing. BEWARE!!!!!: they claim to be an all-inclusive resort, however, this is a very limited statement or should have an asterisk. Room service has a charge (over priced and food seemed very old and stale), WiFi has a charge (doesn’t really work anyways), limited number of reservations depending on how long you stay and the list goes on. The “$500 resort credit” is NOT a credit at all. SHAME ON ORBITZ FOR FALSE ADVERTISMENT ON THE $500 CREDIT.. THIS IS DEFINITELY A FALSE STATEMENT!! Instead it is an opportunity to save $500 through discounts. Don’t count on the complimentary room upgrade because they will just say there isn’t any rooms available. Overall, most of the staff’s answers was NO about 90% of the time with an immediate excuse. We received different answers depending on who you talked to. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

I booked a Deluxe room. At check in I was told I had an Ocean View Room and because I had booked with Expedia I had an option for an upgrade if an upgrade was available. I asked before going to the room for a pool view but there was not one pool view room available in the entire hotel. No problem since it a room like all the other deluxe rooms but the view was a view of the roof and back of another hotel.

The beach is the best on palm beach. Plenty of huts. Graet waiter service. All the staff were excellent. They really want you to have a good time. Our room was excellently appointed, very clean. Beverages in the fridge. Pool bar was fun. Nightly entertainment in the lobby bar. Four restaurants on property. Loved the italian and japanese.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Barcelo. The hotel staff was always on hand and very pleasant. The beach area is some of the best in Palm Beach and central to a lot of local stops for food, shopping and activities. The hotel rooms are nice but not as large as the photos seem to show. They are clean and we really didn’t spend much time inside.

This was an awesome experience. The staff was great, hotel accommodations were wonderful, and definitely will return. The only "bad" thing I can say was the food at one of the restaurants was luke warm. The food had great flavor though.

I was promised an upgrade. I lived out of my suitcase for a day. The new room was no better. Declined. Staff was mediocre ( lobby) David (concierge) was nice.

The hotel was beautiful, lots of activities, the staff is amazing and very helpful. I'd highly recommend staying in the royal level. We had a great experience.

from the time we arrived we were instantly pleased.greeted with welcome drinks and very pleasant staff.hotel was close to everything. beach and pool were awesome.. .food was very good it wasnt to big but spacious everything was within walking distance.room was good definitely planning on returning with whole family sometime soon

Palm Beach Hotel Area, at the beach, near the main road with bus stations (arubus), transfer from airport 25 usd, when you want to lye under umbrella on the beach, wake up at 6-7am and run to reserve it.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the hotel for 6 days, The food was good the beach was beautiful, The people there was always nice. The only bad thing about the place was the gift shop was too expensive and the wifi didn't work too good. So I gave it 4 stars out of 5. I would definitely go back again.

I really enjoyed myself.. the Italian restaurant was the best...

I've had a few experiences with "all inclusive" hotels where the food and alcohol were low quality at best. However at Barcelo I was impressed not only by the quality of the food (and booze) but the staff was amazing (shout out to Kimberly, Charles, and Quianna) if I could have stayed longer I definitely would. Great experience overall.

A wonderful family vacation, 4 adults and 2 children. We had expected a garden view, but were given two rooms with partial ocean view, sweet! Rooms impeccably clean at all times. Mostly positives, but a couple of negatives. Dinner reservations were made a week before we got there and confirmed, yet not found when we arrived for first dinner. Someone other than the host stepped in immediately, not sure if management, we were given a table immediately. I had written confirmations which he took with him, and came back later with a new set of confirmations for the week! Food at The Palm(buffet) was okay, the specialty restaurants were better, especially the Japanese restaurant, where we were entertained and well fed! The BIG negative is that there was NO beverage service when we were on the beach. Not approached once the entire week, NOT ONCE! At one point my husband saw a resort employee with bottled water and were told bottled water was for Royal guests only, we were refused water and not offered any replacement of any kind, WHAT?? Talk about feeling inferior! The beach was full in the a.m., in the p.m. most everyone went to the pool and the swim up bar, probably in part to no service on the beach. We are travelers, no beach service is unacceptable! The beach and water are wonderful, the best ever! Calm, clean, a path for walking, excellent! We were given no information on the inclusion of non motorized water sports and never figured it out. Overall, great vacation.

I wasn't happy with the fact that I wanted to bring a friend for a visit to my room and the hotel wanted me to pay an extra $170 on top of all the money I had paid, it is absurd and unacceptable.

I would recommend this resort. The atmosphere was good. I came with my boyfriend for an anniversary vacation and I must say, this resort is more for older couples but we didn't feel out of place. There were groups of families with young children as well, just not much couples in their 20s like we are. All of the staff members I came in contact with were extremely friendly and helpful. The sun sets right on the ocean and is beautiful!! I would recommend booking a lot of activities or even renting a car while staying in Aruba because staying in at the resort can get a little boring. But the resort is located across the street from shops and other restaurants that you can feel safe to check out Day or night.

Nice clean hotel right on the beach. Staff friendly, some friendlier than others.

Cant complain about anything except internet. Very poor service. Thats it.

Fun for the first few nights , but really nothing to do inside at night . No outside entertainment unless u walk out of the resort

Beautiful scenery loved the food and the staff was always so nice
