Nothing overly wrong with this place. Wasn't a fan of the bed or pillows but that could be down to personal preference. Looking a bit shabby in places and certainly the cluttered cafe area in the reception needs some attention as did some parts of the breakfast area. However, the place is functional and will serve you ok for a stopover. I wouldn't recommend it however for that dreamy romantic getaway.

Stayed here from 6th August till 8th August 2017. Reception staff very friendly on arrival which was a good start . Went to our room again lovely very clean beds were very comfortable and the double bed was massive . Shower a wee bit outdated but at least the water was warm. Went down to the restaurant for dinner was shown to a table by a lovely friendly gentleman. Drinks order was taken promptly as well as our good order. Noticed that through our meal no-one came to check if everything was OK. My fiance had ordered scampi when it arrived it looked nice but when he cut into it there was very little scampi but loads of batter. Mentioned it to one of the duty managers who cleared our table who thanked us for our feedback . We ate again in the restaurant on Monday evening was shown to our table promptly but it took ages before anyone took our drinks order . Meal was fine but we had to ask for a sweet menu . Some of the staff not very friendly and could be doing with going on a course on customer care .

Great Location, Loads of car parking. The staff were friendly and felt welcoming. However the rooms are not that secure, one member of the cleaning staff forced their way in to my room while I was packing up my things. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. All in all I would stay their again.

Just back from your lovely hotel. Room spotless, food gorgeous and staff so friendly. I've just read some of your other reviews there is just no pleasing some people. We love your hotel it's buzzing. Can't wait to go back.

Recently attended a wedding in this hotel and stayed one night. Very good overall experience, friendly staff, good food and well priced accommodation. The only negatives were the hard beds and the high prices charged for drink. £2 for a tiny tonic mixer is in my view too high.

Good points: Location , loads of car parking, all staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room decent size. Price not bad. Few minor points: breakfast a bit overcrowded and line up was in front of the entry / exit to kitchen which was a little dangerous. Towels in bedroom need to be bigger or a few more towels. Elevators not all connected to one switch....so you had to figure that out and hit them all. Overall: recommended

After booking via phone in advance and ensuring my daily rate was agreed, upon checking I was told the rate for one of the nights changed. True, that I had an email saying £77/£95/£77 but this did not make it clear it was the price for each night, just slashes as above with no explanatory note so beware!. To me, it looked like these are Rates but I did agree beforehand. However, they agreed on this occasion and kept my £77 rate. What I would also like to say is that a manager on my second day was extremely helpful with a room problem I was having and promptly dealt with it to my 100% satisfaction (and I'm super fussy). He was professional and understood a customer concern without quibble. I don't know his name on 25/07/17 as duty manager but - Thank you again for your help!

I really think this hotel should be better than it is. I also think that it isn't a big ask to expect it to be much better either. It's been many years since we've been here because we found the food fairly poor. We had no reason to go back until we booked massages in the rented out spa there via a Groupon deal. We arrived early so we decided to have coffee. I wouldn't order food. So I ordered a flat white and a cappuccino (£4.80) and I say with certainty that what I had served up was not a flat white. Not even close. It was poor tasting too. This is what I mean about my recall of my experience in this place time and again. I was hoping for a great tasting coffee. I had paid for a great tasting coffee. I wanted to be impressed but yet again they really just confirmed my old memory offering the least effort, with little attention to detail yet the maximum charge. The service was haphazard and somewhat slow. I wasn't offered a loyalty card despite them sitting on the counter. Mind you this place is open a long time and the reception area was full of customers so they aren't short of trade. Maybe that's why they are complacent. Finally as my iPhone was near out of power I asked at reception for the loan of a charger. I explained that we were there for massages and would be there at least two hours. The friendly receptionist said she had just one so I had to leave my phone at reception to be charged; it was like handing over a limb. I didn't want to do it but if I hadn't done so I'd be left with a phone with no power. Not surprisingly we are very unlikely to return at all.

Stop at Hotel for dinner, on the way back from the Ulster Final. As a family of 7 we Went to bar and was seated at 6.25pm, after short wait off 5-10mins are order was taken. After waiting 20mins the waiter can back to explain that unfortunately there was no Roast of the day left and he had been no be told....lack of communication from other members of staff. As we reordered straight away, we continued to wait 35mins. So u went to inquire as to why and we're told as was so busy with 120 people in at the one time...in which was a bit unbelievable as it was busy but not rammed with people. So after few mins we were told another 5-10 mins before order would be served. In the mean time the restaurant man can down flying could even stop for 1 second, to say sorry for delay your food coming now, before turning on his heels to head away, until the table beside us stop him and said abt him being so rude. Eventually at 6.45 the food arrived it being a soup, 2kids pizzas, chow mien, steak sandwich and scampi. After I had finished my soup as asked at reception to speak to the hotel manage, who politely spoke to me and explained the situation as to why we're we at no point told of any delay or wait of food. He explained that was there fault as staff were missed informed of the delay. Overall he was nice enough to explain that but with modern day and knowing there would be a lot of people passing through Armagh from Down is was not prepared at all! Not that we were looking anything free but we didn't get as much as after dinner mint or even the dilute juice taken off the bill... think they Hotel need to review the situation when becoming busy and how complaints are controlled. Could not fault to food.

Excellent 3 night stay with family members. Easy to get to and the hotel has great accommodation, fantastic food and drink, friendly service and overall fitted the bill to refresh and relax. Will go again.
