First off I have this hotel 2 stars as the staff was pleasant. We went to the area for our grandsons graduation. We needed something convenient, would allow us to have our puppy and I only stay at IHG brands. For the hotel, not so much good. The room while a nice room, it was dirty. There was hair in the sink and the shower. A used bar of soap was still in the room. I called down and asked if they have room service to clean, once per week was the answer. Ok. Let's make the best of this. We cleaned the room ourself, went to a department store down the road and got some supplies, bonus for our daughter she now has them. The next morning we wanted new towels, brought the old ones downstairs, you have to exchange them to get new ones, and they did not have any large towels. She Looked for the cleaning crew and could not locate them. She started walking so I followed, went to the third floor and went into an unoccupied room and she took the towels from there and gave them to me. Ok I guess that works. My wife went walking the pup, got some very rude remarks from the mobile home park guys, when they saw me they stopped but come on now. Came back Sunday night and was surprised to hear music blaring from the same area. Unfortunately our room faced that area and gosh we were so happy to hear that until 11:00pm. Honestly could not wait to get up and leave Monday morning. This place was not what I have become use to being an IHG patron. We will choose more carefully on our next trip out to the area.

We stayed at Candlewood for about 2 weeks and we found it to be clean, helpful front desk agents, Walmart about half a mile away for all of your needs, free laundry, fitness room, and delightful weather.

Stayed here for six nights. Facilities were great. Room was well equipped with kitchenette, decent sized desk, and good bathroom. There's a mini store on site, so you can buy the basics. The staff are SO friendly and helpful. The hotel was also in a great location for me. Will hopefully be back in 2018.

I was so very impressed with Candlewood Suites. From the call I placed (spoke with the terrific Tom) to the check-in process, everything was great. They have more than ample parking that is free and well-lit. The check-in process was very smooth and they explained everything I needed to know about their facility and even answered a few questions about the area. Tom went above and beyond and even gave me a bag of ice to take up to our room because there wouldn’t be any readily available until the freezer produced some. The hotel is clean, spacious, and quiet. The suites are well-appointed and very modern – while being very comfortable. We have definitely found where we will stay during our regular visits to Apex. The hotel has 24x7 coverage at the front desk, which was not clearly explained when I booked my room so I decided to include it here so that you don’t have to call and ask yourself. They also have free WiFi and free laundry services – just bring your own detergent or buy it from their amazing pantry section for a very reasonable price. The only downside for us that there was a strong Indian food smell in our room, which I believe was coming over from another on the floor where someone was cooking. Other than that, I haven’t a single complaint. It was wonderful.

Friendly and helpful staff.Clean and cozy rooms.Nice fitness area.Nice big area for pets to walk on... located right off the main highway but tucked in just enough so road noise isn't a problem.I have nothing but good things to say and would definitely recommend to a friend.

Pros: Clean, spacious, high ceilings, good value, easy access for our purposes, soundproof rooms, friendly staff, McDonalds and Walmart in area for those who would need it. Recommend. Cons: Limited parking, due to lots of workers' trucks, since it is an extended stay hotel. No issue for us, but keep in mind, since there are kitchenettes in rooms, there is no lobby breakfast (Pantry purchases)..and no daily housekeeping, although it is available on request, as well as clean towels. The other issue was a change of room we needed to make when we first checked in...odor and a bug....but our second room was perfect. Beds and pillows may be slightly firm for some.

Room was immaculate, cozy and comfortable. Kitchen unit was well stocked with all necessary dishes, silverware and pans. Great little pantry off the lobby to purchase snacks and/or other food and drinks. Staff were consistently courteous and helpful. Easy access and parking. Will absolutely stay again and recommend highly!!!

The front desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful during the check in process. This hotel is great for those who stay for extended periods, but even though we just stayed the one night, it was well worth it. The room was spacious, the full size fridge and kitchen area were wonderful, and the free internet was great. We highly recommend this hotel, it is right off of Route 1, with many restaurants within 5 minutes of the hotel. There was very little hallway noise, the beds were comfortable, and the shower was pleasing with plenty of hot water.

Hotel room was clean, and quiet. Kitchenette was a nice feature. The staff was helpful and friendly. Located near highway and stores. Free use of laundry facilities which was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

I work at the Waffle House nearby. During the recent "blizzard" of 16..my bosses wanted to make sure we could get to work. So they put us up for the weekend. After a cold snowy 10 hour shift..I was beat. I dragged in the hotel. It only took me a few minutes to get checked in..then I was on my way to a very warm room. The heat was on and it felt good. I quickly took a nice hot shower and crawled in the big comfy bed. The beds here are heavenly. This is great for short term or long term. There is a kitchen area with a stove..fridge..and microwave. They also have dishes for you. There is a work area and nice recliner. They have cable and free wifi. There is a cubbard area with food and toiletry items you might have forgotten. And everything is very reasonable. They also have a lending nook. Books..small appliances..toys,,and DVD's. There is a free laundry. And awesome gym. Didn't use it..just looked at it. I didn't bring workout clothes with me. The hotel is nice and inviting. Nice, clean lobby. Staff was great. They are in a great location. Close to Raleigh and the universities. They are located just off the highway. Lots of dining options nearby (thought most are fast food). There is a Walmart Supercenter about 5 minutes away. And you can always come visit us at the Waffle House. There is a large shopping area about 15 minutes in either and plenty of shopping in nearby Cary. So no matter if your here long term or short term..you cant go wrong with this place.
