Big parkinglot in front of the hotel. Staff was friendly. They have a restaurant and nice bar for a drink. Rooms are big and clean. Nice pool and outside seating area. Breakfast buffet was also good. Its close to the highway
After travelling from Bruges, we checked in to this hotel just for the night. Have stayed previously so we knew what to expect. Nice rooms, nice bar area, swimming pool. Service was good upon check in & staff were informative. It's a good way out of the city so you're looking at around €25 each way to travel in & out.
We stopped here on two separate nights on the way out and the way back of a coach tour. Standard chain hotel feel, on an industrial estate, handy for access from the motorway but out of town. Have stayed at a number of Novotel hotels over the years and this was down at the budget end.The rooms have hot drink making facilities, always a bonus. Our outward bound room was fine, but on the return trip we had a disabled room and the bathroom was a bit useless for us in that there was no shelf or anything for your washing kit. Most of the staff try hard but there are a few who seem very slow and not with it. On our return trip the very efficient lady bar manager was having to knock some into shape! We had an evening meal one night which was quite good, although the menu actually gave little choice. Pleasant dining area, although just off reception so could get noisy, opening on to a patio and garden with a swimming pool.
Stayed for one night. Room ok but bathroom had strong drain odour. Booked dinner at time of reservation and offered a reduced menu. Requested to order from main menu and pay difference and was told by manager that it was "not possible". Basically an ok franchised Novotel run by inexperienced management. Food in the end was ok and staff polite.
Situated on an industrial estate outside of Antwerp, making it less easy to get to the city centre for an evening meal. The rooms we had at the beginning and end of our tour of Germany, were very nice, spacious, with facilities for making a cup of tea. Breakfast was extensive with everything from cereals to breads and hot food. Seeds and nuts available too. Tea or coffee was easy to do. On our return stay on the way to Calais, we sat for 1.5 hours waiting to order an evening meal, and after that time were under the impression that there was only one chef on duty, so we departed for the World Cuising diner next door. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Staying at this Novotel for the week. I have stayed at Novotels before and usually the service is amazing. Sadly not this one. No one takes your order for dinner, having to wait ages to choose from the four options they give you. Tried room service but they were not that polite. Service needs a bit of work. Would stay at other Novotels in other areas, but wouldn't stay at this one again. This one lets there brand name down.
We stayed here early June 2017 with some 50 friends for a special event in the area. The rooms are not that big, but comfortable enough, since my view is that one stays outside the room most of the time anyways. Breakfast is good, sufficient, not overly luxurious. Next door there are two more hotels and a nice large restaurant, Hechi Worldkitchen. An all-you-can-eat restaurant for €30,- per 2 hours. All in all a nice place to stay in itself.
We came as a family on the way through to other destinations. The hotel was a little further out of town than we thought but luckily we had a hire car, so it was easy to head into town. Thought it was fine for what we paid and staff were very polite too. Very good generally
The hotel is well situated close to the motorway and easily reached. The restaurant and bar is nice and the rooms are well equipped. the WIFI is ok. Enough parking spots as well for the car. The TV could have more channels
Stayed for three nights on business with my boss. Although rooms were clean facilities were mediocre and staff in eating areas were completely uncoordinated and just a train wreck. They smiled and tried to be nice but it just never reached their faces. Disappointed.
