Straight next to Antwerp central railway station, walking distance to the Meir, varied assortment of both healthy and unhealthy food at breakfast, perfect room equipped with a kingsize bed and a small gym with great view.
Right next door to the railway station, but difficult to get to if you are driving a coach!! Lovely room. Three pillows each (!), shower (no bath), tea/coffee making facilities, but again no tea (?), flannels and shower cap provided (two essentials for me!) Very comfortable beds, but the lighting could have been better for reading in bed. Good, free wifi. Three lifts, thankfully all were working. Evening meal was enjoyed by all of our party (a la carte). Very good breakfast, including soya milk.
The only issue was the keycard as its extremely sensitive and cant be used to enter your room anymore after its placed to your mobile or your wave credit cards. Else, everything is dandy. Staff even helped me repair my luggage bag which was damaged. He wheeled out the whole toolbox!
Lindner is located adjacent to the train station and, for that matter, the Antwerp Zoo. I feared that it might not be quiet, but with windows closed, it was fine. We had a view across the City, but the neighborhood immediately adjacent to the hotel itself is in transition, and some would not regard it as the greatest foreground, but it was well within normal limits for me. The hotel is within a reasonable walking distance of the "square" and being adjacent to the train station, it is not hard to catch a taxi. I would give Lindner a higher rating but for one key issue: sleep quality. These guys put a rubber or plastic liner immediately under the sheet. My skin reacts to that, and prevents me from sleeping. It turns out that underneath the plastic, they put a thin mattress pad. If that were placed over the plastic, and under the sheet, the skin reaction problem would have been avoidable. Good hotels using plasticized barriers place a mattress pad on top of the barrier, not under it.
The service at the reception was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and adequate, a bath came with it. The beds were perfect, comfy but not too much with a medium hard matrass. Welcoming drink was tasty and the breakfast good. As a plant based eater I missed some plant based options as in Soy yoghurt, or hummus and other stuff. But soy milk was available! We stayed only 1 night.
The hotel is fantastic. Not only as of the nice modern decoration but also because it is clean and very convenient because of the location. Just a minute from the central station from where you can further explore the city : the walking or shopping street, the zoo, China town,.... The bed is comfortable. The restaurant & bar was very good as well.
We travelled to Antwerp for Easter and stayed here for four days. The hotel is fantastic. The decoration is modern and clean. The double bed (2 single beds joined together) was very comfy. The bar was very good as well. The hotel is located quite close to the central station though you have to walk all the way opposite to the centre. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return if we come back to Antwerp in the future.
I stayed here for 3 nights and I would definitely recommend it and come back again. The room was bigger than I expected based on the pictures, I did book the Studio room, as on their website it was actually the same price as the Business class room which made it a steal! The bed was big, the bathroom was big, with a bath and a good separate shower, it felt very roomy all round but without feeling empty. The staff were great, I spoke to a few with questions about various things during my stay, and they were all friendly and happy to help. I can't comment on the breakfast as more often than not I don't make it when staying in hotels for work, and I also couldn't say what might be nearby if you're on holiday and would like to sight see, but if you're on business and need a quality hotel with several places to eat within 5-10 minutes walk (I'm a vegetarian and found a purely vegetarian Indian restaurant on happycow 5 minutes away which was brilliant), and the convenience of being next to Centraal station, this is ideal.
A very pleasant stay in this hotel. It's a short walk from the main railway station, in turn a short walk from a range of restaurants. I found the hotel to be quiet, rooms spacious, clean and well kept. Free internet. Buffet style breakfast that served a wide range of food both hot and cold. Nothing negative
Stayed here on business. Functional and clean. Disappointed that they chose to charge for my husband staying in my double room given that most hotels charge per room. Happily paid for the extra breakfast which was a good selection. Location was good for my meetings and very close to the rail station for our onward travel arrangements. Also close to shopping and restaurants.
