Holiday Inn Express Antwerp City-North3.0 out of 5.0

This hotel is modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our room was on the 6th. floor with a view of the port down to the Mas museum. There is an excellent buffet breakfast with a great selection of foods available. It's also within walking distance of the centre of Antwerp with lots to see and do and many bars and restaurants! We would especially like to thank Willem and his great staff for making our stay so memorable and look forward to returning!
Holiday Inn Express hotels do the job they promise. A decent bed, a functional bathroom and a breakfast in the morning. The Antwerp version is no different. No frills, no luxuries, but everything works. Bedrooms are good size with plenty of room to move around, a comfortable bed, controllable heating - all good. The multi setting shower head refused to budge from its one blast-you-out-of-the-shower mode and the ill fitting shower door turned the bathroom in to a lake. Breakfast lacked any warm food but the cold choice was plentiful. The hotel has a car park which could prove useful. Staff are helpful and friendly. Not a hotel to dwell in but as an overnight stay, it scores well enough.
Nice hotel, comfortable and clean rooms. Not the first time for me there. Very kind personnel, bar available till late night... Unfortunately in front of the hotel there are some works on the road and a lot of traffic, so better ask for a room overlooking the opposite courtyard of you want to sleep well. Prices should be lower in my opinion to be aligned with the quality.
Very basic hotel. Friendly check in by night duty manager. Breakfast very sober, although good coffee. Hate shower curtains and height of shower could have been a little bit higher. For just a night stay for only a sleep okay. Strange that i have found an open pack of milk in the window...... see picture. Really not so hygienic and good control on cleaning the rooms
I guess once a holiday inn express... always a holiday inn express! The long face at the check in counter, the below average breakfast (included), the old rooms... I mean it’s cheap and you definitely get what you pay for here... no pleasant surprises. It’s about a 20-25 minute walk to old town Antwerp which is where everything takes place. Not too many restaurant options nearby. If you are in Antwerp for more than just business it’s worthwhile to stay closer to old town, otherwise if the weather don’t cooperate and you can’t walk there you’re going to have to be paying for transportation back and forth.
Hotel looks new. Very clean. Staff very helpful. Room for handicapped people is perfectly built - recommended by the person travelling with us. A bit far from city centre considering all the construction sites in between but as we were driving a car, this did not bother us at all. Nice restaurants in the surroundings. Also MAS Museum within a walking distance (approx. 5 minutes).
This Location is excellent. It's a short walk to MAS, several great restaurants, and a nearby tram stop to get into the city center for awesome shopping sights. Or one could walk along the river to the old stone castle and city center. The hotel is cozy and clean, the rooms are very nice with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast was great with a good variety of foods. The staff are super friendly, too! Wifi is excellent. I highly recommend it.
Check in was a breeze, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! The room was clean, and had all the usual amenities. Except soap or shampoo. The shower had a pump soap dispenser. I went to the lobby to buy shampoo, and paid 12 Euro, for 2 small bottles. Otherwise, it was a great stay.
Last weekend (December 16th 2017) we stayed in this hotel. It is located in a quiet part of Antwerp close to the city centre (10 to 15 minutes walk). Nice harbour area behind the hotel! The biggest point of improvements are the beds. As mentioned in couple of other reviews, they are really too small!!! The bathrooms are a bit outdated. The breakfast is for an Express-kind of hotel, really good. The reception is friendly. We enjoyed our stay but next time we will (probably) choose an other place due to the small beds.
I had in the past mixed experience with holiday inn. it is an old chain and sometimes quality is not to good. However it is not the case with Holiday Inn Antwerp. the stuff was very , very friendly , and smiling :). the food was good, the Leffe beer super fresh. the rooms clean and nice. good place to stay 👍😉
