Friendly staff, room in rough condition above pub
We chose this hotel because of the proximity to the bus station but we wish we stayed somewhere else. The hotel was in a rough condition. It was mostly clean but there are random holes and lots of wear and tear. Our room did not have a mini fridge. We did not have towels when we checked in. The bathroom had three small bottles of shampoo but no soap. The beds were not comfortable. One of the walls is all windows and we must have our key card in the slot for electricity, so when we return to our room in the late afternoon, it is very hot in the room. You must enter your passport number everytime you return to the room to log in to wifi. The hotel is right above a pub and it’s incredibly loud at night. People at the pub stand outside and smoke cigarettes and the smell and smoke came through the closed windows. Our clothes smelled like cigarettes. Several times at night we heard loud beeps in the hallway. We thought it was smoke alarms from the cigarette smoke but we learned in the morning that it was alarms on the room doors when someone doesn’t close the door all the way. The windows had blackout curtains but it did not matter because the AC unit above the bed had a bright white light that lit up the room. The breakfast was just okay. I would not stay here again.
