Well, there is not much to say. If you want to stay in a first rate hotel, with helpful staff this is your place. Spacious rooms, luxurious and in close distance to many worth visiting places. Enjoy your stay
I have used the Sheraton Ankara many times and use it frequently and as my first choice when I bring people out to work with me, if it is their first visit its vital they get a good impression and the Sheraton does just that. Great service, support and hospitality with unrivalled pool and leisure facilities. A good location for a walk into the restaurants and shops of Tonali
It is nice for businesses. Nice breakfast with high quality & variety. Rooms size is average. Clean and comfortable. Only one negative point sometimes cigarettes smell despite it is non smoking room. Price is reasonable. Hotel is old but not deteriorated.
I have stayed at some good hotels in Ankara for my short business visits. Sheraton Hotel was my favourite so far. The location is great. It is a beautiful easy ride from the Airport. They have a fantastic airport transfer service. If you traveling first time to Ankara it is a great option for your safety and comfort and stressfree also. They have 24 hour marvelous gym. (Great equipment, spacious and well thought areas and mirror ceiling which I could not get enough with my yoga practice). The reception service was always really helpful, kind and graceful. I recommend to register for Starwood Preffered Guest Program. The discount is little, but you will get better room (higher floor and in better condition). You need to consider that because of the capital location, I have an impression that all hotels are not impeccably new and some features I noticed, I would not tolerate in other destinations, as slightly used furniture and not impeccable condition of the bathroom tiles. But again Sheraton was standing out from other Ankara hotels from my experiences. Also another advice, though it is tempting to take room with included breakfast at better range. It is a very crowded surrounding and they cant send your breakfast to your room, you have to get downstairs to the restraunt. Otherwise it is fully charged. If you are like me, when morning ritual is very important and you need to enjoy your breakfast while making plans for the day ahead or read something, I recommend to take the room rate and choose breakfast on arrival. Their Turkish one is amazing and really enormous. I did not try spa services so far, hopefully next time.
Unfortunately I've spent only one night at the club room in Sheraton Ankara but it was enough time to convince me that is properly run business hotel. Hotel is not new but club rooms are huge and very well furnished. They rather look like apartments than just rooms. Literally everything traveller might need is there, from the coffee machine to tooth brush and sleepers. Bedding is the top notch and mattresses are very comfortable. Breakfast is up to Sheraton standards and service is immaculate. I would highly recommend Sheraton Ankara to business travellers. See you soon!
Been there for 4 nights. Excellent comfort. Room are clean and comfortable. Quite. Breakfast pretty good but nice to have it outside. Restaurant outside is very good but need to book to be sure... For sure will come back.
On our short stay in Ankara we chose the Sheraton and did not regret the two nights we spent there. We chose half board. Despite having a room "only" on 6th floor, the view over the city was still very amazing. Large windows with a round view, undisturbed by other buildings we specifically also enjoyed the view from right out of bed. The beds themselves were extremely comfortable, we sunk in both nights and had a very deep and resting sleep like we haven't had in quite a long time. Three pillows per bed (had a double bed room due to others being booked out - high demand on this hotel!), huge blankets and not to hard, not to soft mattress, in which you still sink in deeply and sleep like a baby! Rooms are clean as they should be for a 5 star hotel. Instant coffee and two choices of tea (try the herbal tea right before going to bed!), big enough desk to work on, bathrobes, slippers, close-up mirror, good water pressure and really hot water, big screen TV, chair and ottoman in the corner, ironing board, minibar. Really all you need in the room. Wifi is flying, not that I expected anything else ;-) One of the highlights is definitely the gym and pool area. The gym has many stations and even a tartan running track around the machines. Clean, fresh, welcoming atmosphere and good choice of music. The pool itself is large, beautifully lighted and in a separate hall with daylight roof that turns into mirrors in the evening. (Interesting to see yourself when you swim on your back.) Then there's still the jacuzzi, hot steam bath and sauna with cold bucket shower. Definitely the choice for the evening! After that we went to our 3 set dinner and enjoyed a fine and delicious cuisine. The menu is finally one that is not overloaded with choices, so that even I could choose within several minutes only. Taste is great, deko is well done, atmosphere is calm and cozy. Fine dining! Prices really acceptable for such an offer! Next mornings breakfast the same: a good choice in the buffet, starting from fresh fruits to cereal to cooked and fried food. Many different kinds of cheese! Fresh bread, cold juices and big jugs for good quality coffee and tea. My kind of breakfast. Staff is very helpful and supportive. We arrived by motorcycle and even though it's been really dirty due to rain and some 30.000km on its back coming from Singapore, the staff was still offering to carry the dirty bags, which we happily denied as their clean suit should not be bothered by our stuff. Next morning we found out they could have organized a bike cleaning even! I felt a bit ashamed parking the dirty bike right outside the hotel, but that didn't bother the staff. What a surprise! Location is not far from the main attractions. A quick cab ride will get you anywhere. Nicely placed on a hill you are almost guaranteed to get a good view. Negatives? Well, there can always be small things bothering you if you chose to let them bother you. Trying to think of something I can't much come up with anything really besides the q-tips packaging telling you that those are not meant to be used in your ear tunnel :-D We were lucky enough to meet even the general manager for a few minutes and had a chat around the hotel and Ankara. All in all I can't say more than that we were really happy with our choice in such a nice and beautiful city. The hotel is in good area of Ankara near to embassies and easy access to everywhere, hotel is old but clean and renovated, reception staffs are very nice & they speak English very well despite of all Ankara, room services staffs couldn't speak English and didn't care about recharging tea & coffee or water! Pool & gym area was very good, clean & peaceful, breakfast also is ok but haven't got that much options...
