When you go into the lobby and the young lady person employed is more interested in promoting their internet bag monogramming business and has their nose in their internet device so, if you want a coffee in the afternoon (none) or in the morning (none) or ANYthing...thoughts are this might not be the place you want to go IF you don't want to get.... shall we say...""UPSET""?? But friendly and the room was clean, A stringer hotel for the tiggers in their SC version of "Death Valley" and since they won last year's National Championship for the first time since 1980, price is up. BUT, I repeat, Clean and Fresh and friendly. 50 buck hotel, nope, but not a gouger in mid week and they were playing away that weekend..... After theseason a little town called Anderson in South Carolina will not be as expensive. A good value though, overall. I'd go back.
Upon Arriving You see these two tall carports that are welcoming. The staff was very friendly when we arrived! The room was clean and comfortable! The value of this hotel is great and the location as well! I would recommend to family and friends!
The price was very good and room was clean. Had a minor problem with the door not locking and TV not working, but both corrected by manager. Staff very courteous. Coffee and continental breakfast ready on time, very good I had to be gone early.
Convenient place to stay after a late Saturday night football game. The staff was curtious and flexible. The room looked like it was halfway through remodel. The floors were a wood laminate and the beds looked to have new bedding. So on first appearance the room looked updated. But the bathroom fixtures show their age, and are hopefully on the list to be renovated. Overall I slept good and the room was comfortable. I will say that the room is a little pricey on football game Saturdays, but i guess that's supply and demand ecomonics at work.
Bedding appeared clean and was comfortable. However, the room appeared generally not clean. Windows and mirrors had hand prints. They was Q-tips and paper on the floor. Very disappointed in comparison to our previous stay at this property.
I have waited a few days to write this review in hopes that a refund that was promised would come through, but it has not. I checked in last Friday night on a two night stay and immediately noticed the room smelled bad. I also noticed that the toilet was backed up. We had to go to the front desk to get a plunger and it took about ten minutes for me to unclog. The sheets on the bed were stained and the bed spread had what appeared to be blood stains and other stains, and quarter size holes. The front desk promised to come change the sheets but never did. Overall it was an unpleasant experience. I had my college age daughter with me as I was in town for homecoming weekend. Given the lateness of the hour I had no choice but to spend the night. The next morning I went to the front desk, with a new staff person, and explained the situation and that I would like to check out a day early. At first I was told this would not be allowed but she agreed to call her manager. A few minutes later she told me the manager had agreed to check me out and wanted to call me later. I gave her my cell phone number and left. I never got a call. When I got home, I gave it a few days and called back. By now my card had been fully charged for both nights. The lady looked in the record and verified no refund was coming. But she took my number and said the manager would call me. He never did.
I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but we stayed at this location and were pleased. Our room was clean and smoke-free. This is an older hotel and is dated and our beds were "regular" and not queen size which was something I haven't slept on in a while. Easy in/out and convenient to the interstate and Clemson. Would I stay here again? Yes, if our other choice is booked but I would request a room in the back of the hotel as the front rooms were near the highway and a little noisy.
Stopped here after leaving a different hotel! Renovations have been done, however, the bathroom was still outdated. The shower curtain wasn’t big enough for the entire shower so water went out onto the floor. Breakfast was only available until 9am on a Sunday which was disappointing since we arrived so late. Minimal complaints and an overall good stay.
The room was dirty and smelled like dirty bleach water. Floors were disgusting....I walked one time without my shoes and my socks were black in a matter of a few steps. Bathroom looked like someone got sick all over the walls. The beds were not comfortable and the metal box spring loudly squeaked every time my husband turned over in bed. Phone did not work. Toilet barely flushed. When we opened our door, we smelled pot all around the outside area. Internet was extremely slow if it worked at all. This is just a few of the things that were wrong with it. We will never stay there again or recommend it to anybody. We would have left but could not find a room due to Family weekend at Clemson that weekend.
We went to Anderson, SC for the Circle of Masters seminar presented by Grandmaster Phil Little, 10th Dan U.S.I.K.A. The staff was very friendly and the room was nice. We slept awesomely and if we need to stay again we will stay there again. Thank you
