Rodeway Inn2.0 out of 5.0

I stayed here when I was closing on my condo nearby. It is a BUDGET hotel and should be thought of as such. It is very close to the interstate and a ton of restaurants. It really is an ideal location and much cheaper than staying in Clemson. The room was comfortable although older and the bathroom could use some repairs. It seems a lot of construction workers or laborers stay here. The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating and friendly. The housekeepers did a good job and were also very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for the budget-conscious.
The staff were friendly and the rooms were very clean. Don't be fooled by the outside, the rooms are refurbished and clean with everything you need for a good nights sleep. It was quiet and even had blackout curtains to help you sleep. It you are looking for a clean, safe, quiet place to sleep, save the money and stay here.
I don't know how you could give this place less than a 5 in competition with other super budget hotels. In this category all you're looking for is clean and safe, and the Rodeway goes beyond. Outside is your basic 2-story brick and concrete structure with outside access, nothing that would beckon you to stop. The owners, though, keep the grounds well and have put in a cute little seating area with plants and flowers to enjoy good weather. The check-in office has a covered spot, nice for bad weather. My room was a king non-smoking, upstairs. It was way larger than most 3 star hotels where I've stayed with a desk/slide out work station, flat screen TV with HBO, microwave, fridge, two chairs with an ottoman, new AC that really pumps out cold air, a Speakman shower head which pumps out strong, hot water, even an iron and ironing board. Unlike $200/night hotels, the wireless was free. At $50 something a night, you couldn't do better.
Recommend this if you are wanting cheap and affordable accommodation. The rooms are a bit dated but they are clean and the beds are comfortable. This was a stop over on way to New Orleans on a month long road trip around US and it was fine. Complimentary coffee, tea and muffins are available in reception in lieu of breakfast.
We stayed here for two nights while visiting our daughter at Anderson University! And had also stayed for 2 night's during Parents Weekend! We had bought our mini Doxie and the manager charged us only $15 for having a pet! We had a room on the ground floor and it was very quiet both times we visited! Will definitely come back!
If you're not too picky, you can probably be happy here for a night but if you're use to new hotels, you'll probably be happier looking for another place. The hotel is old and not very well maintained. The towel rack in the shower had ends but no bar to hang the towel on. The mat was so moldy looking, we risked using the tub without a mat. Needless to say, one night is enough for us.
I wanted a safe, inexpensive place to stay in Anderson. I reserved a room at this hotel online. I was checked in promptly. I was met at the room by a staff member, who inspected the room as I entered to make sure everything was acceptable. The room was clean; the towels were fluffy. I was quite pleased with my stay and very happy with the price.
I work construction and when I travel I want a good place to stay. It must be clean, bug free, reasonably priced, safe and worry free. That's what I find here. The folks in the office are very concerned about your needs and your satisfaction.
On road trip from GA to DE, my husband booked a room as a walk-in. I noticed baby Roach in newly renovated bathroom. My daughter a huge Roach crawling up the walk. I would included a pic, but was too sleepy.
We arrived for a one night stay. Our room was a spacious king with a sleeper sofa, much more room than 2 people required. It was very clean and had great WiFi. The hotel was quite full. I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of construction workers staying here because someone with a reflective vest banged on our door at 8:30 last night for someone else. This morning at 6:15 we heard a man yelling another man's name and lots of yelling in Spanish and doors slamming. They were very inconsiderate of other guests but I would think the manager would already be aware of the noise. There was a lot of noise from the road due to being right by I-85, but the wet roads compounded the tire noise Not anything you can do about that, but the white noise of the room heater made it possible to get to sleep for the night. We're on a college tour trip and trying to stay on the cheap, so I would stay here again in the same situation. Clean and in a convenient location at a great price.
