That's exactly what you gonna get. Location was pretty good as it is not directly at the city centre but not far away to consider that as a problem. We had a great, quite room with nice view. Staff was very friendly and helpful even after the checkout. Thanks for the memories.

they stole 225 dollars off ny girkfriends credit card si irs kind of hard to think if anutging positive. they are delusional if they think they can get away with it just because I live in another country.

This hotel loses a star for cleanliness, as the rooms carpet was very stained and the mattress had several hairs visible under the flat sheet. The location by the park was nice but expensive to travel after the tram stopped running at 1am, costing $20 eu for what should have been a 10 min trip.

I was fairly happy with my small, clean room. They appeared to make a reasonable attempt to handle my early check in (though I actually only got into the room half an hour before normal check in time). WiFi was free, but dodgy in my room. It was fine in the lobby.

I find myself reading reviews often, so I think that it is responsible (and only helpful) for me to write one. The area is LOVELY and hotel is so easy to get to from anywhere in Amsterdam. Just remember the number 2 tram. Only 15 minutes to central station. The tram is only a few hundred feet from the hotel. The area is quite and safe but is still Amsterdam. The hotel staff was gracious and very nice. They even let me check in early, like 9 am, after my exhausting two days in Utrecht. At night from the central, the cab is only about 15 euros and cab drivers now it well. I never had to explain the location. Simple yet modern and very comfortable hotel. Amazing walk in showers. Just a great stay and got it for only $60.00

Volden park hotel is a good place to stay, despite the distance from the center of Amsterdam (is not so much), it's accesible to get from the hotel to anywhere and viceversa in public transport. Also is near the Van Gogh museam, and beside a big park when you can run in the morning!

our first room was in the basement with dirty carpet and the shower/bathroom set up in a corner of the room..simply awful. they moved us to a better room after we complained. limited cable/ t.v. channels.only news channels. no movies.sould be allot better

The hotel staff was very helpful.Great stay!

Second time at this hotel. Love the experience, a little long walk to everything but beautiful view. Feel safe in the neighborhood, especially with police station a block away.

We were touring Amsterdam and took advantage of all opportunities.Hotel had internet in lobby. It would have been nice to get breakfast included so we didn't have to spend so much time and money dealing with breakfast. This hotel was average to most we've stayed at.

We were looking for something a little quieter, expecting Amsterdam to be a loud party city with noisy hotels. However, this didn't seem to be the case from walking around the city and other hotels. We opted to stay near the museum district, thinking that it would be quieter. It was quiet, but the hotel was a little out of the way. The hotel rooms were clean, the staff was fairly friendly, and they also had free internet, which was nice. Overall, the hotel was nice enough and got the job done. The hotel description mentions that "breakfast is available," however not free. It was overpriced at 17 Euros per person.

Stayed at the hotel for one night on a quick transit. Hotel is in a nice location in terms of distance to the museums and Leidesplein. The hotel has different wings and my room was modern and comfortable but compact. The bathroom is just a glassed area in the room which I am not a big fan of, especially if there is another person. Overall a good value. To get there, take Tram #2 from Centraal and get off at Emmastraat (third stop after Rijks museum).

Hotel located in a quiet location off the beaten track, but within easy walking distance to all sites, shopping and dining. After a busy day of sightseeing it was a relief to return to our hotel and relax in quiet comfort.

The Park Plaza Vondel has very nice executive rooms. The hotel itself is very small with no amenities. When we arrived we were put in a standard room. It had air conditioning that did not work. It was very warm in Amsterdam this week so the room was sweltering. They did move us to an executive room. This room was terrific, roomy and had a great view. All in all the hotel staff were not very friendly, but the hotel location is great. It is on a quiet street about 100m from a tram stop and is bounded on one side by Vondel park.
