This was a good hotel in a great location. There is a tram stop right outside which is only a few stops from city centre, and next to canal with hop on hop off boat stop. Restaurant had good food. Rooms were comfortable and quiet with all amenities,

I often stay at this hotel when I come to Amsterdam. Rooms are okay, starting to be a bit on the shabby side, but quite well equipped. During my last stay I fell sick during the night, and the staff handled this with an utter lack of empathy. Service is what makes a great hotel, not design, and staff should be trained to show empathy in these situations.

High end gorgeous hotel. Rooms are lovely beds so comfy. Food in restaurant was so tasty and the service through out the hotel was brilliant. Would highly recommend. Slightly out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk if you fancy a stroke. If not taxi is not a lot or metro right outside.

I recently stayed at the Notting hill in Amsterdam from the outside the hotel doesn't look very special but once in side it's a different story the room's are very good the food in the hotel is very good the staff are excellent the hotel is nicely placed for most of Amsterdams tourist attractions

After spending 8 Days on a river cruise in unseasonable heat and small beds it was a treat to end up in this lovely little hotel. The beds are oh so comfortable, the shower wonderfully hot and the room delightfully cold. The staff is also first class. Boris helped us with are luggage and was very patient with a slightly agitated old American pain in the rear. You will be within walking distance of the museum district. There is also a grocery, deli, ice cream shop and pub all very near. You will find a mini bar with room for cheese and other goodies plus Nepresso coffee. The tram runs right in front of the hotel. As if this were not enough the hotel is very quite and in a good area. An Uber from this hotel to the airport is only 23 euros.

This is cute, little hotel. Although it is quite far from the Central Station, once you get your bearings, you will realize the tram #4 has a stop right on the corner. And a relatively short walk from the hotel will take you to museum square and other tourist attractions. The morning breakfast was a nice plus, but overly expensive. If you are a person who cannot handle steps, beware, the steps to the front entrance are steep. Our chief complaint was the lighting in the spacious bathroom was totally inadequate and the towels were dingy and skimpy. Just adding fluffy, larger towels would add to the feeling of luxury.

We arrived on Friday last to the reception area to do the normal checking in however we had problems with this as the reception staff were very unhelpful with their explanations and thought at one moment it was funny to draw this out for more time as we’d already had a long journey to get there and did not want to be inconvenienced by awkward reception staff The room accommodation was very tiny and this was meant to be a double deluxe room could only get out of bed on one side as the other side was close up to the wall the coffee machine provided was broken we complained to the reception and they said they would fix it however they did not attend to this there is a shortage of teabags milk and coffee very poor show for £1000 for three nights Breakfast time was very distressing as the older member of the catering staff was very very rude I have never been dealt with before by this she kept insisting there was a bill and this was an expensive buffet as if we could not afford it and every order that you gave her came wrong we asked for fried eggs so scrambled eggs came we asked for scrambled eggs so boiled eggs came the staff were incredibly rude and we shall not be going to this hotel again ever

Firstly let me tell you about the staff... super friendly, super helpful. A dream to deal with an nothing was too much trouble. Here comes the but!... it just doesn't quite live up to the rating. Roadworks on the pavement (why don't hotels tell you about this??), no lifts working, a bathroom door that just didn't shut... not broken but simply was fitted in such way it would not close. Great location in terms of getting places such as the museums, but the shot of the hotel at night simply does not reflect the reality, which is that the hotel is on the main road on one side and the canal on the other. Not huge problems, just a felling that it was too expensive for what you get...

We had a lovely 2-night stay here. Room overlooked a small courtyard and was the quietest city hotel I've ever experienced. Situated just steps from the tram, easily reached from Centraal Station, a couple blocks from boat landing--you can get anywhere in the city from here. A short walk along a canal takes you to Rijks and Van Gogh museums. We had excellent service in the bar, which was quite pleasant. Didn't use restaurant--lots of cafe options nearby. Staff was professional and friendly, room immaculate and comfortable. If you require a more substantive bathroom door or a Hampton Inn mega-room, look elsewhere, but if you have more realistic expectations about a cozy, safe, well-maintained, clean, conveniently located European-style boutique hotel, this one's a winner. We'd come back in a nanosecond.

Nice hotel they upgraded our room for us although we were excited about staying in an attic room which is what we originally booked. The room was nice although the bathroom door didn't shut and there was a window with slates inbetween the bed and bathroom so not very private. Distance is ok walking took bout 30mins to main dam square. Tram stopped right outside the hotel too. Staff were lovely and friendly and the bed was so comfy although the tv was on a weird angle of the wall to the bed. It was a lovely hotel to stay in.
