We visited this hotel in January, we spent three nights at the hotel. The hotel is well situated with tram stop immediately outside the hotel, it’s a welcoming attractive hotel. The reception staff are a little over officious upon arrival but they get the job done! We were staying in a lower ground floor room and although the rooms are spacious nd very modern there is little natural light, it’s ok in winter not sure it would be so nice in summer.. the breakfast was good and overall we would recommend this hotel.

Set in a beautiful part of Amsterdam The staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The attic room was very spacious, comfortable and clean! Just a no4 tram ride from the centre.

You never know what to expect when you book a hotel but this hotel was lovely. I especially loved the wall behind reception made of old suitcases Pros: The bed was the most comfiest that - I have ever slept in! I had the best 2 nights sleep if had in a while - the room was a nice size and was quiet - there was a free mini bar with a couple of little things in - the bathroom had a hairdryer, and lots of little products (including toothbrushes) incase you forgot anything - it was a great location where we walked everywhere from - there is a tram stop right outside the door - there was a late check out which was nice after a busy few days - the receptionist a check was very informative and gave us a very easy map to follow Cons: - we forgot to get water on our way back from a late meal and couldn't find any shops near by, there was no vending machine in the hotel and it took a while to find the receptionist who made us feel very awkward for asking for water - after lots of walking in the freezing cold a bath would have been a welcome feature - we ordered room service and the food was not great so I would eat out as there's so many nice places to eat

Stayed here for a long weekend in a loft room. Arrived about 6hrs before we were allowed to check in and the staff were lovely gave us a map and brief tourist route and let us leave our case whilst we went exploring, when we returned to check in our case was in our room waiting! The room was very spacious and airy as was the bathroom with shower...complementary mini bar with soft drinks and Pringles which were topped up on a daily basis, also a nespresso coffee machine which was lovely!...the loft rooms don’t have windows only skylights so avoid if you want views. The hotel is in a great location just a short walk from all the restaurants and bars in de pijp, also a short walk from the Heineken museum and the Rijksmuseum and the “iamamsterdam” letters. The hotel also has a tram stop right outside and the number 4 tram takes you direct to central station! My only issue was the light switch stopped working for the bathroom and after reporting it on our penultimate morning it was still not fixed by the time we checked out on the following day!...there was a note to acknowledge it but it read that no maintenance staff worked until Monday! Apart from that I fully recommend this hotel for its location and what is has to offer, we stayed for 3 nights which totalled £320 which I thought was excellent value for this hotel👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hotel was lovely with quirky decor. Our room was spacious although need a little more maintenance in the bathroom. Great location, close enough to the main centre and plenty of restaurant near by. One note I would say is there is no allocated parking, street parking is approx 34Euros a day.

Spent 4 days in Amsterdam. Stayed at Notting Hill Hotel. Wonderful hotel. Excellent location, clean comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and very helpful. Will definitely study here again next time. Simple access from airport using train to central station, then using tram # 4 to hotel. Stops right in front on hotel! Only took 30 minutes from airport to room. Easy walk to eats, right on canal. Perfect stay!!

Poctures below are the mattress of our doughter 's bed. Staff is unhelpful. We asked to talk to a manager and were refused the opportunity. Basement rooms have a dark and poorly maintained carpet. Musty smell in the room. Poor daily houskeeping. The hotel overall is not a good place for families as the rooms for 3 are all in the basement. Stairs to the main entrance are very slippery and gave no railings. I would not recommend the place to mature travelers. Overall bad experience. Will never come back. The cost does not mutch the experience.

We had been greeted by very unfriendly reception staff. She immediately charged our credit card for the full cost of stay instead of customary credit card authorization. We got tiny basement room with strong smell of mold and no windows. The front desk staff refused our request to talk with manager. The room has a glass see through door to the washroom which is unacceptable for the family with grown child. The room was very dirty.

I very rarely write reviews on hotels however after a short business trip to Amsterdam for 2 nights whereby I have gave constructive feedback to the duty manager on a noise problem regarding the air con...and the response was "we are aware of the problem and other customers have also complained about this issue"...i must confess I was shocked. I had 2 nights of zero sleep...the rooms are tiny while the downstairs decor goes someway to cover the room problems. So I am shattered leaving this hotel. the first night I thought this was a noise would not persist..by the 2nd night I just wanted to get out. But my main problem was the management knew they gave me a 'problem child' room because of my short stay they got away with it and did not offer any consideration or acknowledgement the room was poor. I am writing this so that no other customers get ripped off in a similar manner. Also think the service can be improved. pretty substandard welcome and delay at check in.

I was in a double bedroom in the basement, spent 3 nights. Positives: - The staff. Mostly they were really great and helpful, always with a smile. Special shoutouts to the bartenders. - Environment and atmosphere. Clean, warm and stylish interior. - The room in itself was nice. Simple, but nice, which is how I like it. Good bathroom with both shower and bathtub. - The bed. Deserves it's own point! Just fantastic quality, like laying on a cloud in heaven. - Proximity. The hotel was close to many great restaurants and shops, as well as shopping districts. Just outside you could hop on a tram to the centre. Easy and accessible. Just all in all a great hotel with friendly staff and close enough to all the things you wanna do in Amsterdam. Negatives: I have 3 negatives about my stay. - Some staff. The maids were not the friendliest I have to admit. What they didn't know is that I can understand basic spoken Dutch. Met 2-3 maids in the hallway and they were standing around discussing customers right in front of me, in a negative way. They also commented on me, and my "ethnic" appearence. Not in a good way, I assure you. - My second day there I was ill and lay in bed all day. Between 8am and 8pm I swear I heard a door slam in the hallway at least 200 times. It was incredibly loud. Mind you, I couldn't hear anyone from inside the neighbouring rooms, just the hallways. And of course I could hear the staff from my room as well. Soundproofing? - The lack of information in the room. Maybe this is just me, but I'm used to a kind of pamphlet or dossier in the room explaining what the staff/hotel can or can't do. They had a Info-channel on the tv but it moved so slowly I watched the "Don't smoke" screen for at least 5 mins :-D Just lacked that information guide in the room, but that's not a big negative. Overall a 4,5 out of 5. Will definitely come back!
