Here for a 3-night stay for our anniversary, we were initially due to have a souterrain room in the basement, but after a quick trip to Google translate, we immediately emailed the hotel to arrange for a room above-ground for an additional 25E/night. Thankfully, the hotel's lower level was under active construction during our stay, rendering the rooms on that level inhospitable, so all guests were placed in rooms on upper levels at no additional charge. The hotel's outer and inner decor, from the lobby, to waiting and dining areas was very nice, as was our room, although it was tiny. At the end of a rather long and narrow hallway, were a desk and chair, and beyond that, a bed and mattress, which were firm and comfortable, with Christian Lacroix accent pillows. Surprisingly, the bathroom was spacious, well appointed, and thus became the largest space where one could move about freely, if that's any indication to how tight our room was. The hotel is a rather lengthy trek from Centraal station, but located directly across from the number 4 tram stop for convenience. It's also located a decent distance from the Dam Square, which was nice for us as return visitors who spend time in De Pijp area and beyond the touristy centrum drag. Surprises were the 100E deposit at check-in for potential damages, and additional 27E in taxes that we paid in city hotel taxes. The former, paid in cash, was quickly refunded at check out; not the same for the latter. We'd gladly return.

The hotel is beautiful but what really makes this hotel special is the staff, they are amazing and very helpful, we have stayed in many hotels throughout Europe, this one is a gem!

The room was spacious and clean. The refreshments in the mini-refrigerator were complementary and was a nice perk. The only negative comment that I have was the fact that our rooms were on the -1 level or essentially the basement or sub-ground level.... we can look up and out of our window and see the walkway. The room was still quiet, but it just felt strange.

Right on tram line. Nice neighborhood. Close to museum area and a popular market. Very clean hotel. Enjoyed 3 nights there.

Excellent central location and very cool boutique decor- very clean. But cleaning carts seemed constantly in the hallway. And upon arrival although we were encourage to call anytime for minibar refill we had to ask for coffee pod refill and cup replacement twice. Breakfast buffet was also overpriced and no food was available between buffet and lunch menu 10am to 12pm when many vacationers prefer to eat brunch...??

Front desk staff were not sincere. Otherwise clean & good location.

Well situated, great staff, room excellent Can recommend

great hotel, close to everything , friendly staff.. would stay there again.

Loved that the hotel's technology is first class. The do not disturb sogn was very unique like no other that I have seen. What I did not like is that if you are on a long vacation, this might not be the hotel for you. The rooms are very very small.

Rooms very well appointed. Free in room snacks. Very helpful staff.

Excellent location, big comfy room and bathroom, top knotch service, pleasing decor. I can't think if one thing I would change. Outstanding room service..perfect!

Great location. Very close to the museums and tram.

Small boutique hotel in a wonderful location. Room was nice sized with greaa bed linens. Quiet neighborhood, ground floor room and no problem with street noise. A bit unusual bathroom, one wall had shutters to the bed area. Initially thought great, it opens up the room...but actually all the bathroom sounds is not a good thing! Restaurant has tasty food on very limited menu, pricey drinks at their bar.

Amazing location, great room. Was extremely happy here!

Nice hotel. Rooms were roomy and staff was nice. Good location.

Staff was so helpful. Beautiful spacious room. Great house keeping management.
