I don't remember the last time I stayed at a place where the staff were so friendly. They took time to help us map out a destination. They later helped us set up wifi. The albus is a clean comfortable hotel in a great location with superb staff!!

From check in, to check out, The Albus was a wonderful place to stay in Amsterdam. It was convenient to all major tourist activities, yet not too close to the muck. The staff was some of the best I've come across in my travels. We specifically enjoyed talking to Thierry, who was super fun and friendly and really added to the experience of our stay. The rooms were clean and modern, as was the bathroom. The major issue I had was with the room temperature. It was impossible to sleep in such a hot room yet, unfortunately, bc they are renovating the air conditioning system there was nothing we could do. We opened the windows but then the sun would shine in super early ... so either way we werent sleeping. At any rate, this shouldnt be a problem for much longer considering they have that new system coming in soon. With that in mind, I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

I had a basement room, oddly laid out, comfortable enough except for too little space between the bed and the wall, which had to be negotiated to get from one side of the room to the other. I felt that the price was a bit high for this, as well as the breakfast price being a little high. But maybe this is just par for the course in an up-todate hotel room in central Amsterdam.

excellent hotel 1 min walk to rembrandt square / 10 min walk to museum district as well as leideplein. hotel staff was fantastic, the metro is also close by

Location is just minutes from virtually everything in central Amsterdam. Staff was very attentive and helpful for anything we asked for. Would certainly recommend to others.

Excellent boutique hotel in excellent location. Will stay again if return to Amsterdam. The hotel is located within walking distance of train station and almost all the major sightseeing spots. the room was clean, modern and small but normal size for Europe :) If you travel in summer be aware that the hotel does not have air conditioning.

The hotel is great! The location could not be better!! Mariska, the front desk manager, is unbelievable!! Since we arrived she treated us with a big smile and she did everything possible for our experience to be just perfect!!! I definitely recommend Albus Hotel!! And please, ask for Mariska!! We only spent 1 night at this hotel, so it was perfect for what it was: great location, nice staff, clean rooms, and complimentary coffee & WiFi. This was my first time staying at a hotel in Amsterdam, so I am not sure how other hotels differ, but the standard room size at the Albus was very, very small. If you're planning on spending time in the room, I'd suggest upgrading or looking for a different hotel.

The staff was great and super friendly and helpful. It was in a great location and were nice rooms and everything but the one elevator was super slow (not a big deal) and there was no AC and it was the summer. They did have a couple fans in the closet though. Otherwise the hotel was very nice. I would go there again but not in the summer months.

Located about a 7 minute tram ride from the train station. They upgraded me to a suite. I'm not sure why, but I couldn't complain. Everything was modern and clean. The bed was comfortable. The TV gave you the choice to watch in several language, including English. There's a great outdoor square right around the corner, where I enjoyed a nice steak and a Pint. Great Indonesian restaurant called Indrapura just down the street. Great Rijstoffel.

Really enjoyed this hotel to get over jet lag and begin exploring London. Surprisingly spacious, good wifi, friendly staff.

Cannot beat the location and the staff was very helpful in setting up tours for museums and canal rides. Small but clean room. No A/C but had a fan that helped keep the room cool. We would stay again.

The Albus is a quaint little hotel. Don't let the sexy advertising sway you one way or another, it is an excellent place to stay with a family and my two daughters and I enjoyed our 8 nights there. Our room was large with a king sized bed on one side and another bed under the eaves for one of the girls. We had a large balcony overlooking the houses/gardens towards the back of the hotel (this might be the only room, however, with a balcony) and brilliant sunlight (I guess that does exist in Holland) flooded the room daily from a large bank of windows. The staff was amazingly helpful, friendly and funny. The location of the Albus can't be beat. There are tram stops a block away and the hotel is centrally located between two canals, within walking distance to museums but not in the middle of the hub-bub of such a bustling city. We were more than pleased with our stay at the Albus!

The location is good, close to Rembrantplein, not a far walk from Central Station or Museumplein. It is hard with a 2pm or later check in coming from the US, flights land early morning. The room had no AC! and the room felt like it was in the 90s, really hard to sleep. The room was smaller than many New York City and other European hotel rooms I have stayed in. The water pressure was not great and the bathroom was very dark. I would not recommend the hotel, there are a ton of hotels in Amsterdam, there has to be something better out there.

The staff was welcoming and friendly from arrival to check out. There were maps ready and available. The room was huge by Amsterdam standards, and the staff was very helpful with suggestions and gave very good and appropriate advice.

I booked this hotel for my wife and her friend, they loved the hotel and the staff were top notch, the breakfast buffet was a little pricey @19 euro but they went at the last minute (my wifes fault) so it was hard to rate the buffet on value. The staff however were very nice and understanding and still made my wife and her friend eggs after they had closed.

Perfect boutique hotel in middle of Amsterdam but didn't get too hectic on the inside. Extremely friendly and professional staff! Sweet bar n restaurant. Clean, sleek, and modern room. Will definitely recommend and go back!!

Great location, 15 min or under to walk to all museums and other attractions, very close to a great number of restaurants. Wonderful, helpful staff, rooms on the small side, but comfortable nonetheless, very clean. We bought tickets to all attractions in the hotel , sometimes at a discount , but more importantly - avoided the tickets lines at some of the museums. Overall- great experience.

Hotel was great for the price. Room was clean, bed was nice, hotel restaurant was overpriced for breakfast.

Amazing central location to get to everything in Central Amsterdam. Just finished renovating this spring and it looks great. They're still working out a couple kinks, but its great for the 25-40 yr old hip crowd.
