Clean, nice rooms. Nice restaurant, great staff! Will stay here again. Good parking and it was pretty quiet for being packed. The pool was a huge hit, great area to visit while the kids play. Pool tables, ping pong, ball courts and a kiddy pool. Nice place!
Was placed in a older part of the motel i am guessing the rooms they allow pets in....smelled like pets and heard dogs in nearby rooms . Interstate right outside our window. Not a pleasant stay. Long walk in dark hallways to the pool. The previous stays here were in the pool area and were not as bad. For the rate I think they could offer some kind of a free breakfast. Most motels do. There was an option to order in but I wanted to spend as little time as possible in the smell. Not likely to return.
This is an old hotel but they seemed to have been doing a few things to keep it updated, painted and clean. Rooms on the inside near the pool and basket ball court can be noisy. People playing basket ball can drive you crazy with the bouncing noise. They are planning to build a Holiday Inn Express next door. When they get that built they should tear this one down. It's too out dated compared to other hotels.
Hi- I stayed here for one night while attending a conference, I will not return. The hotel is an odd shape with long hallways and the map is not helpful, hard time finding my room, and the lobby was far from where my room was. The ladies at the front desk were not overly helpful either. And of course what tipped it off, was waking up at 6am to not a hot/warm shower! I wasn't happy about a cold shower and the bathroom door won't even open all the way due to the shower curtain rod being a bow shape! There was blue cleaner left on the floor as well, what a dump. I would recommend else where I'd in the Alexandria area!
This hotel is an older hotel. I enjoyed the layout as it works well with families. Pool / basketball had a nice central location. The bathrooms in the room were small and they didn't have rooms which were suites. The rooms were clean but the hotel could use a face lift.
This is an older property I would guess that it was built in the 60s. But it is very well maintained room was very nice bathroom was small but recently renovated. The restaurant in the hotel was nice good food cold beer, and the pool area was very nice. I would recommend this property.
This seems to be the holiday inn that corporate forgot about. Entire hotel needs remodeled and updated to get out of the 80s. Paid $129 night which seems eat over priced for what you get. My room was damp feeling and the air barely worked. I would not recommend this hotel unless they make quite a few improvements. Bathroom is tiny with no vent. Does have a heat lamp though!
We stayed for the third time in three years. check in was great they let us check in early as we had a meeting later on. Room was clean and the place was all done with remodeling. Restaurant had a good happy hour and the bar tender was right on the ball with getting the food and drinks. The pool area was a good place to meet and let the kids play.
my husband & I stayed here for two nights in July & loved it. we travel all over the world & stay in many different hotels in different cities & we thought this would be a mediocre stay. It turned out to be terrific. What is cool about this place is that it's truly a classic holiday inn but it has been so well kept up that it feels fresh & new! the pool area is VERY well maintained, big & great for kids & adults, the staff is extremely warm, welcoming & friendly & our room was very clean, updated, fresh, roomy & comfortable. This bathroom was a little small but the fixtures & everything else were of good quality/very nice. The furniture in our room was also excellent & we had plenty of space to move around in. The wifi is free & was as smooth as silk... The fridge/microwave seemed brand new. But what really sealed the deal for us was the ultra comfortable mega pillow top bed!!!! I can honestly say that the bed is THE MOST CoMFORTABLE BED iN THE WORLD! And the mega comfy pillows, linens, & quilt & bedding added to the bed made things even more comfortable. We did not expect to find the most comfortable bed in the world in Alexandria,MN - but we did! This place was so charming & comfortable- you won't regret your stay! Enjoy the pool& relax! There are many restaurants that you can dine at In Alexandria & hotel staff with help you with anything. If I could give this hotel a 10 star rating I would! If you are visiting the Alexandria area- stay here!!!
The room was fine. Smelled a bit musty but I always travel with a scented candle for this reason. The pool area was nice and big. The rooms were alright but the bathroom wasn't cleaned well. Someone else's hair in the tub. The beds were comfortable. Included breakfast would have been nice.
