Location is great as is the restaurant staff and hotel cleaning service. Front staff, not so much. Give the major impression they are doing you the favor. Not sure what there attitude is stemming from. Shame though. The place is certainly in need of a major deodorizing. It smells as if the pool over flowed and was left to air dry. That aside the value was okay. Quite sleeping and my particular mattress was comfy. FOR NOW! I say that because I've been told I must change rooms. I am a IHG Spire member due to being in hotels all over the country an average of 250 nights a year. I know the front staff knows of my preferred status as well know they do not care. 300+ rooms and I have to move! REALLY??? AM I the only room of 300+ that has double beds? Something this single traveler didn't even want in the first place. Same is...I'll most likely be stuck here another 4 weeks. Stay tuned as an update WILL FOLLOW!
We stayed two nights as wedding guests. The room was very humid despite running the air conditioner. The room was quiet and clean. It was nice to have a fridge in the room. The hotel staff were not friendly with the exception of the bartender. She was super sweet. The food at the bar area and from the reception at the wedding (held at the barn) was not great. Food at bar was over cooked and burnt. The reception food lacked flavor and was visually unappealing. I did feel that the room was overpriced. I will continue to stay at a different chain of hotels where my cost is lower and I receive more amenities.
Old style so if you go with those expectations you will be fine. Rooms are clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Our upgraded room was quite small. Bathroom especially small. Overnight was just fine, extended stay would be difficult. Restaurant on site that we love for dinner. Don't expect breakfast or drink coupons to be included.
This property is getting a little tired. It was clean and quiet enough, but the room smelled like cleaning supplies. The air conditioning was loud and the window didn't open. They have a decently equipped exercise facility.
We had a nice stay at this Holiday Inn while visiting family in the area. We stayed at the Hampton Inn the night before, but had to move hotels due to the very uncomfortable beds. So, we were happy to find an available room at the Holiday Inn. Fortunately, the beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. We requested a room away from the pool area. The wifi worked well, too. Breakfast was not included, but we did enjoy a reasonably-priced breakfast in the restaurant. Good food and great service. The server said we were supposed to have received a "Kids Eat Free" certificate at check-in, but we did not. She still gave us our younger son's meal for free. The one drawback was the unpleasant smell in the hallway by our room. It drifted into the room a bit. But overall, nice hotel. We did not use the pool or fitness area.
Clean, nice rooms. Nice restaurant, great staff! Will stay here again. Good parking and it was pretty quiet for being packed. The pool was a huge hit, great area to visit while the kids play. Pool tables, ping pong, ball courts and a kiddy pool. Nice place!
Was placed in a older part of the motel i am guessing the rooms they allow pets in....smelled like pets and heard dogs in nearby rooms . Interstate right outside our window. Not a pleasant stay. Long walk in dark hallways to the pool. The previous stays here were in the pool area and were not as bad. For the rate I think they could offer some kind of a free breakfast. Most motels do. There was an option to order in but I wanted to spend as little time as possible in the smell. Not likely to return.
This is an old hotel but they seemed to have been doing a few things to keep it updated, painted and clean. Rooms on the inside near the pool and basket ball court can be noisy. People playing basket ball can drive you crazy with the bouncing noise. They are planning to build a Holiday Inn Express next door. When they get that built they should tear this one down. It's too out dated compared to other hotels.
Hi- I stayed here for one night while attending a conference, I will not return. The hotel is an odd shape with long hallways and the map is not helpful, hard time finding my room, and the lobby was far from where my room was. The ladies at the front desk were not overly helpful either. And of course what tipped it off, was waking up at 6am to not a hot/warm shower! I wasn't happy about a cold shower and the bathroom door won't even open all the way due to the shower curtain rod being a bow shape! There was blue cleaner left on the floor as well, what a dump. I would recommend else where I'd in the Alexandria area!
This hotel is an older hotel. I enjoyed the layout as it works well with families. Pool / basketball had a nice central location. The bathrooms in the room were small and they didn't have rooms which were suites. The rooms were clean but the hotel could use a face lift.
