Had a stay for one night at this hotel, and met a very friendly and serviceminded staff. Standard room that met our needs for one nights sleep. Breakfast in the restaurant was also good. Hotel was close to the harbour, which gave us plenty of parking possibilities.

Value for the money Checked in at First Atalantic Hotel, Alesund. Very centrally located and a short distance from the stopover with the shuttle bus from the airport with Vigra. Large room with views of parts of the lovely port of Alesund. The Restaurant in the hotel is also a coffee shop with wide selection of drinks and light dishes. The price was very competitive for under 100 USD pr. night. Fast check in and out. Recommended for location, staff and price

Excelant service, good atmosphere and roms with nice view (5th and 6th fl) . The hotell always deliveres and is rally good walue for money. The bathrooms are fresh and delicate. Hotel is located in the hart of this lovely town.

Was on a business trip in Ålesund and stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Close to city centre and bus station. But when you have a hotel in the middle of the city, there will also be a lot of noice from outside. So i recommend to get a room high up. First impression was good. But the enthusiasm of the staff may have been better. Important: Ask for a room with a proper shower! My room had such a small shower that when I stood upright, my shoulders only had like 2-3 cm clearing when I leaned to one side of the cabinet. Are you wide shoulders, you can turn around in the shower! The pictures that is listed here on Tripadvisor is of the wheelchair accessible rooms. The one I got was way smaller! I arrived late in the evening, but that was no problem. My room was ready, and the check-in was quick. On my way up in the elevator, I saw a poster in the elevator that said that they always had fresh food from the local cafe, in the lobby, for sale. After I got settled in my room, I went downstairs and had a look at the food the was on display. Since it was late, that counter was not manned. Went over to the reception and asked if it was possible to buy something to eat. When I then thought we would walk over to where the food was, they insted walked in behind the reception in a small fridge where there was 2 tortilla wraps(or something like that) packed in paper and plastic. They did not know what was in them, so they had to peel it open to have a look. 1 was with chicken, so I bought that one since I was so hungry. When I came up to my room, I noticed that it probably have been in that fridge all day. The paper it was wrapped in was socked. It clung to the tortilla and everything just tasted bad. Ended up throwing everything away after taking 2 bites of it. So I would NOT recommend to buy something to eat after the local cafe have closed. The food they have in the reception is way overpriced compared to what you get!

We only stayed 3 nights in the hotel, but I could have stayed longer due to the comfy beds and the excellent breakfast. Some staff members sometimes seemed to be a bit unmotivated - what I did not rate as negative since I could understand it, because it was shortly after Christmas (29.12-02.01) when no one is in the mood to work. Still, it´s their job ;) :)

Comfortable bed. Good breakfast to start the day. Good wifi Free parking. Great location, very central. Cheerful staffs. Except the the lady in night shift on xmas eve day when we checked in didnt know abt pamentt system. She insist on use card twice. However its not big issue, cos she seems new n pretty tired as it was quite late night. But next day morning shift staff was very helpful n explained the issue. We found used snooze thrown next to bed, can work on cleaniness better.

This hotel is located in the heart of the Alesund. All good restaurants, shopping mall, Bus station is within 100 mts from Hotel. Hotel also got a nicely managed and not so crowded Wayne's cafe where you can relax with your friends and have a conversation. The rooms are pretty and very comfortable. And above all, this hotel falls in the affordable range on Norwegian standards. It was my best Hotel experience in Norway.

I went here on business travel for one night, and it was very nice. The location is great, the airport bus stops right outside, and everything we needed was within walking distance of the hotel. My room had a beautiful view, and the food was great. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I would recommend!

We stayed here for one night. Early flight, so we couldn't enjoy the breakfast, but it looked tasty and they told us to grab anything we wanted as we left (our child enjoyed a croissant). The room is modern and clean (though the toilet paper roll had something gross on it--yuck). Cool swivel chair. Two beds, technically. Nice bathtub and some English TV channels. LOTS of partiers late at night (Saturday night), and they were very loud. But I would stay here again.

Good value for money, nice clean room, good bed. Waynes coffee as breakfeast restaurant was a good solution. However the lift and the corridors needs a facelift - I got a claustrophobic feeling by the black walls!
