I would say that “You get what you pay for,” but I didn’t even get that. I booked a non-smoking room, and even called and told them I was going to be a late check in. Got there and the lady on nights literally told me they were about to give my room away if I hadn’t shown up in the next few minutes. And then, they gave me a smoking room. With my two kids - one of whom has severe allergies, and the other who is a baby - it was terrible. Unfortunately, that hotel and everywhere in the surrounding area was fully booked so we were stuck sleeping in an ashtray all weekend. They couldn’t bother to keep one non-smoking room that I paid for MONTHS ago?? You could literally feel the dirt on the floors, and the bathroom vent was caked in dirt and almost coming off of the wall. Housekeeping didn’t even bother to fold the one blanket that was in the drawer, or even organize the coffee “bar”. The packages were literally just thrown in the corner, and there was no actual coffee cups - just plastic cups that would have melted had I tried to put coffee in them. The “desk” was so flimsy and almost falling apart that I could probably have blown it over. My son told me when he turned the water on in the tub that the water was orange when it first came out. I travel frequently enough to know my expectations should not be high for a Super 8, but this place didn’t even reach my lowest bar. The only positives are: the A/C, hot water, and TV worked. And the fridge was clean.

The motel was gross. There were dead bugs on the floor in the room, and the bathroom was icky. The area around the hotel is sketchy and I didn’t feel safe staying there. I ended up leaving and getting another hotel.

The Hotel looks ok from the outside. The check in area was clean. The Free breakfast area had two tables? We had a room up stairs that was "non smoking" But the place smell like stale cigarette smoke. The floor was uneven and creaked. There were stains on the carpet and the floor towel that was hanging over the tub was moist. The bed were comfortable but I would not stay here again

Very bad service. They are out of toiletries and soap today. At least they could have bought some soap from Walmart. Rooms are very dirty and in terrible shape. I wouldn't stay there even for 'free' next time. Waste of money!

I liked that it was right close to the Freeway and had places to eat across the road.

Washroom was dirty. The knob was almost broken. Room was ok.

The hotel was what we needed. The morning staff complained about how customers, including me was using the waffle iron. It was sticking all of the waffles. She made us feel as it we were not welcome to use it. She threatened to take it. She didn't seem like a morning person.

There was a rude interrupting at the front desk by staff and another guest over a refund... And one of the hotel clean staff ladies was very rude...

i stay at a lot of super 8's and most have been very good but this one in north abilene tx is terrible.

I will never stay at this hotel again. The hotel is in disrepair and the bed is hard. The room is nasty.

This is the most run down and filthy hotel I have ever seen. I truly do not understand how they are still in business. Everything was filthy, the comforters had visible stains on them. The towels were yellow. There was hair and visible grime throughout the room. This was just a pit stop for us, we arrived late, went to sleep, and got back on the road the next morning. The only way I was able to stay there was to remind myself over and over that I had lived in Army barracks, and stayed in tents for weeks at a time. And I had my own pillow and blanket, which made it much easier to grin and bear and actually get to sleep. Also, this hotel is in the worst location, there are tons of eating and shopping directly across the highway, but you cannot access then without driving a huge loop around, like almost 7 miles around just to get right back to where you were. Seriously, this hotel needs to be torn down.

Good price and value with great location. Accommodations were decent.

OK. Nothing special. Just a stopover while traveling.

For this hotel being fairly new, you can't tell from its appearance. Overall, not bad, I would stay here again. Especially since I saw no evidence of bed bugs, which I know is a MAJOR problem in this town.

My husband & I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The staff was very helpful & rooms were clean. It's an older hotel that needs some updating but for the price we were pleased. It's very easy to zip to the Expo Center & the Zoo on a back steeet.

I usually stay at this hotel twice a year and 10 days each time and I have to say I was always treated with nothing but respect and friendliness.

It was find. We had animals for our move. They were - from what we foudn - that allowed them. Frint desk was helpful in guing me to get "supplies" (wine, food) after a LONG day for travel.

Good: Friendly and helpful staff. Bad: Old electronics and furniture.

Thank you for this update. I hope you contacted front desk to let them know of this issue. This should not have happened and I agree with you, I would not want to stay somewhere with this kind of issue.

As a new GM at this location I am securing supply lines and hiring new staff. My apologies.
