Hotel was run down, obviously old and upkeep lacking. Clean for the most part though. Staff was nice enough. Breakfast somewhat disappointing, coffee was good.
A very nice and quiet place to stay, friendly and helpful staff.
The room itself was not bad, but there were a few things that were not up to par. The shower tiles were old and moldy, the shower curtain was torn, there was no iron for my clothes, the pool was a little dirty, and the continental breakfast consisted of only toast and one kind of cereal.
It was the worst motel ever. We only had 3 channels in the room we was in. And there was a spider n the blankets when i went to go to sleep. Couldn't sleep thought there was spiders gonna crawl on me and bite me.
The room is just that! a room to stay for the night. The Hotel is fairly clean and comfortable. The location is on I-20 away form the main part of town. If your traveling through an need a room for the night it is great. Nothing special. There are hotels that are new close by is your looking for some more upscale comforts, but it's ok.
Neat, everything worked, staff was friendly. Beds were awful, the place is in need of a good remodel. We were on the back side of the hotel and our view was homeless looking for a place to sleep, Oscar's Bar, and a large parking lot in which we suspected drug deals were going on. Considering what I paid...The room was a fine place to crash, not hang out.
Went to Abilene overnight wit my 3 children and wife ,my reservation was made on line , we arrive at midnight , went to the front desk and just show my Id and everything was take care, room was nice and clean.
The hotel is what you pay for, but if you need a spot to rest for the night it's 110% better then a tent
The room was average. Upon unpacking we found someone else's food in the mini-fridge. Other than that the room was clean. When we needed ice we had to go to the front counter, since no ice machine was near our room. Later when we were ready to sleep the bed was uncomfortable. We could feel the springs in the mattress. Some of the good points. The staff was friendly and helpful. They excepted pets. We had brought our Great Dane and there was enough room for us and the dog crate. The price was reasonable. Abilene is a small town, so you can to most everything in town in about 10-15 minutes. No resturaunt was onsite, but some good dining establishments were near by.
As soon as I walked into the front lobby, it smelled like an ash tray. They offered a continental breakfast, but with the way the dining room smelled, we didn't dare eat there. I would never recommend anyone stay here!!
Although my experience was very good and for the price the accommodation was fine, the rooms were dated with some paint peeling and scuff marks on the carpet. There was an ant in the coffee maker. However, the toilet broke and they fixed it right away and the breakfast was fine. I think the hotel needs some updating and freshening up.
The room we was very hot, but they were nice enough to get us a room that was a lot cooler.
Room looked clean but did not smell fresh. At night we could smell smoke strongly in the bath, even though it was listed as a non-smoking room. Perhaps the air system was connected to a smoking room. Location was great for us. Swimming pool was not functioning.
It was a convenient location for my trip. It was easy to get to restaurants and shops.
The hotel has not been maintained...bathroom below standard..toilet was about to fall off the wall. Only shampoo and scant soap provided (no conditioner). bare tacks in the carpet causing foot injury. Breakfast adequate and the staff very polite. Overall this hotel needs a complete renovation. Was not at all happy with this selection ...considered moving to another location. Would not go there again.
This hotel is located in a good spot for family attending ACU graduation or other events. The front desk was very helpful at changing our room at the last minute to accomodate an elderly person. Otherwise the room was NOT CLEAN, the shower was broken, and the room was loud. There was a musty smell when we opened the door. I was suprised because that is not my experience with this hotel chain in other locations.
This place was one of the cleanest motels I have ever stayed at - the room - the bathroom - the breakfast area - the grounds
enjoyable, quiet, relaxing, seat around the pool on a cool evening and played a few domino games with friends, i will say good thing i didnt want to swim the pool was nasty
Counter staff were very nice, the room was clean, but the room was very outdated and the maintenance was very poor. The wallpaper was peeling in many places, the shower tile had been patched with different color tiling, the grout in the shower and bathroom floors was stained, cracks in the walls, a/c unit was okay but filters needed cleaning. If they would renovate, I would definitely stay again. Until they update the rooms, we will look into other hotels in the area. Also, the breakfast is nice but the lack of a hotel restaurant or room service is a bit inconvenient compared to most other hotels.
Dirty, Cheap, Scary Clientele. Up All Night due to guest noise. Horrible excuse for TV Entertainment. Hodge Podge Rigged TV's.
