Had a 3 night stay during the Pink Pop festival just down the road in Landgraaf. I was a bit apprehensive as it is located out of the City and some reviews said it was in the middle of nowhere and the parking availability was not clear. Let me just put this right. The hotel is not in the City but it is only a 20 minute walk or less than 10 eur in a taxi. There is an underground car park which costs €10 per night which is well worth it as it's secure with a lift straight to your floor. The staff are great, the bar is welcoming and was open when we got back from the festival! There isn't a restaurant as such but snacks can be bought and breakfast was very good. Here is a tip for guests staying for a few days. It's only a 7 minute walk to the Carulos Thermen so take your swim stuff!
It has everything it needs for a 3-star accommodation. Everything is modern and looks good. Personnel is very helpfull. The showers are small but the water pressure is wonderfull. Hotel breakfast is very extensive and offers plenty of choice. A nice terrace to enjoy your meal outside. However for non smokers like me it is awful to have all these smokers spoil the air.. One note. They offered parking space but we had to pay for it. They told us when checking out, a nasty surprise
Having visited Aachen many times, this trip we wanted to stay at the Hampton because of past experience with the brand. It's easy to find, staff excellent, nothing too much trouble, good breakfast and very cleans rooms.
The hotel is nice, modern design, comfortable, clean. Perfect for a one-night stay for business. But it is in the middle of nowhere. No restaurant in the hotel and no restaurant in reasonable walking distance. If you have no car, for dinner you need either a taxi or a long walk through a "desert" residential area. Far from an ideal situation if you are there alone. Breakfast is OK, good buffet, nice choice and good quality. Check-in and check-out fast and efficent, but very "cold" "Marketing" note - why to call it "by Hilton" - OK, is owned by Hilton by it is very different from an Hilton Hotel - then when arriving you have big expectations but the hotel is something different - good value for your money at average level, but no first-class!
Well equipped modern hotel with onsite (paid) parking. Let down only by limited food selection in the evening. There are a couple of fast food outlets a short walk away, but that's it. Unlovely location close to football and equestrian stadiums, also lots of "warehouse" stores.
Very good one. Modern, quiet, large and comfortable rooms and good breakfast. If you want a good night sleep in Aachen, this is a very valid option. Not very central though. You reach the centre by bus or with a 25 minute walk. Room tip: upper floor.
The room was clean, just a strange design. The bathroom door and the closet door are the same and when you close the bathroom the closet opens. Also the door doesn’t latch. The food in the bar is not worth it and at breakfast the entire huge batch of bacon was burned black. Still, in spite of that not a bad place to stay a night or two.
This is a nice hotel but quite a walk from the city so I wouldn’t recommend from a tourist point of view. The room is not a bad size with comfy beds and a nice bathroom. Breakfast is ok but they need more or quicker coffee machines as it seems you are always queuing. Also the choice doesn’t seem as good as some other Hamptons I have stayed in.
I’ve stayed here a couple times on business and for me the location is excellent. 10 minute taxi ride from the main train station and on the outskirts of the Aachen. There is chargeable parking on site In a secure underground car park. Reception for check in and out can be a little slow - on my last visit I waited almost 15 minutes to check out and there were only 2 people in front of me. However the staff are really friendly and professional. The rooms are typically Hampton comfortable and clean with a desk and chair plus an easy chair. The bed and linen are comfortable. The en suite has an over sized walk in shower so no squeezing into a small cubicle. Breakfast is decent and included (although they split it on the bill) and has a good selection of hot and cold plus pastries. If you’ve stayed at a Hampton in Europe you will recognise it immediately They have a bar and serve a small selection of meals in the evenings (burger, pizza, pasta, etc.) which are really good value for money. Overall I really like this hotel, it’s convenient for Aachen of som of the surrounding areas like Würselen and I will definitely be back.
I spent here five days. When I arrived they didn’t found my booking. In general I can say that is an acceptable hotel but they have a lot to improve. My biggest problem was with the quality of the daily cleaning service. For example I let some clothes on the bed in the morning and when i returned the bed was made and the clothes were left under the cover, the same happened with the laptop. The used glasses remained unwashed after the daily cleaning, i had to let them in the bathroom sink for the cleaning lady to wash them. The used towels were just taken away and not replaced with fresh ones. The bathroom sink was not cleaned while I stayed there, I had to clean it myself. In 5 days they changed the bed sheets just once after I asked to be changed and the new ones were not ironed at all. The toilet paper should be nice folded at the end after the daily cleaning, here the end of it was stocked somehow in the toilet papers tube. Maybe I am picky but the details are so important and can change a lot.
