The staff were truly wonderful and made our stay very welcoming; they are definitely the highlight of this hotel. Our room was clean and well-maintained, though it is worth noting that there is no air conditioning. While I understand this is customary for the area, it was unusually hot during our visit, which made sleeping a bit difficult.
A few areas could use some improvement: the carpets on the second floor are in need of a deep cleaning. Also, our room faced the courtyard, so we could smell cigarette smoke when the window was open, and the noise from the courtyard could be heard clearly until people went inside for the night. If you stay here, you may want to keep this in mind if you prefer to sleep with the window open. The breakfast buffet was decent overall. Despite these minor issues, the exceptional service from the staff makes this place a great choice.

The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was great. And we enjoyed the pool. And the bar was a wonderful place to have an end to the day. Depending on your room, you can hear the trains at night.
