The Stockholm Arlanda Airport is the primary airport serving Sweden's greater Stockholm region. When you use Orbitz.com to book one of the many cheap flights from Stockholm, you are able to choose from any of the major domestic and international air passenger carriers that service the airport. The airport is located roughly 25 miles north of Stockholm, with easy access via E4.
Two long-term lots are available at the airport. Both offer free shuttle service to and from the main terminal building. The shuttle from the Arlanda LÃ¥ngtid Alfa lot runs from 5 a.m. to midnight, and the Arlanda LÃ¥ngtid Beta shuttle runs from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect to pay between SEK 450 and 520 for one week. Additional long-term lots include the Sky City garage located near SkyCity and Terminals 4 and 5, and the multistory car parks near Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. These offer reasonable daily rates, but there are no discounted weekly rates. All of these, except for Arlanda LÃ¥ngtid Alfa, offer advance booking.
Train service is available via the Arlanda Express and the Upptåget commuter train. You will disembark the trains in SkyCity between Terminals 4 and 5. Public bus service is also available via Swebus or airport coach. Several cab companies also offer airport transportation. Because taxis are not regulated in Stockholm, you might want to comparison shop to find the best prices. When you use Orbitz.com to purchase your air tickets, you might find that you have saved enough money to hire a private car service to get you to the airport in style and comfort.
The Stockholm airport has 19 cafes, bars and restaurants that serve food and beverages in the public areas before the security checkpoint, and it has another 26 inside the gate areas. You will find a little bit of everything, including McDonald's, Pizza Hut, a food court, Grand Café Stockholm, Segafredo and Sky Grill. Enjoy your trip, and remember to use Orbitz.com the next time you need to find cheap flights from Stockholm.
Most flights to Gothenburg arrive at the Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport or the Gothenburg City Airport. The Gothenburg City Airport is the smallest of the two, and it only has three airlines that provide flights. The Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport is the larger of the two, with over a dozen companies offering flights. OLT Express, Turkish Airlines, Air France and Air Berlin are just a few airlines that handle flights at this airport. You shouldn't need to go with an unknown airline to get a bargain, so Orbitz.com provides cheap prices on flights from some of the top airlines.
Public transportation is a great option for travelers because Gothenburg has a system that includes trains, trams and buses. Look around the airport and at local businesses for a blue flag with the transportation logo on the front. These flags show tourists where they can buy tickets for the system. The short-term travel cards let you travel through specific areas in the city without paying any additional fees.
Winters in Gothenburg are often cold, as temperatures can drop as low as one degree Celsius, and the sun is only out for eight hours or less. The summers bring more sunshine with some days having 18 hours of sunlight. The sun can also provide temperatures in the low 20s.
Finding fun things to do in a new town is sometimes hard, but Gothenburg offers a few things suitable for everyone in your family. Universeum and the Botanical Garden let you learn more about nature and wildlife, while Liseberg Park is an old-fashioned amusement park with rides, food stands and live entertainment. Depending on what you want to do, you might find reduced price tickets from Orbitz.com. Even if you cannot find cheap tickets, you can still look at the top flights to Gothenburg and get more information about this travel hotspot.
