Fly to Fresno Yosemite International Airport
Fresno Yosemite International (FAT) is a public/military airport that is owned by the City of Fresno in California. This facility is the closest airfield with scheduled flights to Yosemite National Park even though it is actually located 60 miles south of the popular tourist destination.
The airport opened during World War II in June 1942 and was originally known as Hammer Field. It was primarily used by the United States Army Air Forces' Fourth Air Force as a training base and featured three sub-bases as well as two gunnery ranges.
