A trip to Maine is not complete without visiting Bangor. Flying into Bangor International Airport (BGR) opens up the region to all travellers and there are many fun things to see and do. The area's natural beauty draws tourists from all over the world. There are many natural wonders, landmarks and monuments to enjoy along with the scenery.
Bangor sits upon the Penobscot River and offers visitors and residence multiple opportunities for water play and sports. Swimming, fishing and camping are staples in the area but there is plenty more to enjoy. Picnicking, bird watching and boating are all popular activities.
The Bangor City Forest provides ample opportunity to see some of the native wild animals and birds that are native to the region.
The Bangor Symphony Orchestra is one of the Nation s oldest and most refined. There are many symphonies throughout the year at Pickering Square and the Bangor Band Stadium. The Bangor Opera House and The Penobscot Theatre Company offer a wide variety of operas, drama and comedic theatrical performances.
Art is also prolific in the city. The UMaine Museum of Art at Norumbega Hall displays both world renowned and local artists. The Robert E. White Gallery displays arts by Maine sculptors, painters, and artists in every possible medium. Maine has so much to enjoy.
Newark Airport is stupid. I had to go through security a second time to catch my connecting flight from United to Delta. That was ridiculous.
Seats are TOO SMALL! And 30 bucks for one suitcase?! Why are you so greedy?
Bags were wet when we collected them at our final destination. Otherwise, everything else was fine despite our last flight running late.
Had Flight attendant Richard from Newark to Washington. He was awesome!
Full flight was handled well!
Fly has been a pain for years with charging customers for everything. It was very nice to select seat . Please consider giving your customer a free check bag. Some passengers are taking multiple large bags taking up over head space for other passengers who paid A lot to fly
All went well
The flight was delayed because we had to be de-iced, so spent a total of 3 hours on the plane instead of the scheduled one hour. Not happy with that but pilot was good and landed in high winds and low visibility very nicely!
The best of all - everything was in time! Thank you!
I like watching the flight map
Even earlier arrival then expected!
