For such an upscale hotel, it's kind of weird that there is no front desk or concierge. Other than that, well designed, comfortable, very convenient to Chelsea.

Got in early, Checked in early, left the bags and went to visit World Trade One . room was available at 2 PM. It was a short 24 hour trip to New York , so essentially room was needed just ro sleep in it, It was great, the view from the second highest floor in hotel was nice .

Great little place 10 minutes from Central park, and an easy Subway ride to Times Square! If you want a nice, clean, safe place to hang your hat at night while visiting Manhattan (for a great price), come here! It was so nice to walk into a beautiful old building where the hard wood hadn't been landlord-special'd, and we enjoyed the good eats further down Amsterdam. The parking is actually a block over, so be prepared to be paused in traffic to unload, or just park and walk your bags over when you check in. My only note is that our bed was comically loud and squeaky, you could adjust your leg or roll over and the whole thing would creak. My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and we cracked plenty of jokes about it, lol.

Best part of this place is the location. Room was okay. Little dirty in the corners. But bedding was crisp and clean. Staff made our beds daily and was friendly. Descent value for the hustle and bustle of NYC.

Everything was great except for check in front desk person. She was borderline rude. Still got us a room that we had reserved but was short and not friendly. Everyone else at the front desk was awesome and very friendly.
