The power went out in the middle of the night. It looked like other properties around us (i.e. grocery store, etc) had power because their lights were on. No one was in the office. The alarm on the a/c and the hot cabin woke us up at 4AM ehich is unfortunate because we had a long day of hiking ahead of us and would have appreciated more sleep.

This place is undergoing some renovations so there is no onsite bar/pub or restaurant and the main lobby reflects that. Nonetheless, it's an easy walk to the center of town on a paved path with several dining and shopping options. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, staff was excellent, parking was a breeze. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay there again.

We loved the people there and it was cute and loved the view of the river on the balcony upstairs. We didn’t eat any of the food, but it was disappointing to not watch TV when we got home, the bathroom floors and bathtub were quite dirty, and the power went out with no generator, which was OK because it was at night, but it was disappointing when I had to go to the bathroom with no light.

Showers for tall people

Fun little place to stay. Staff was friendly and easy to work with. Best thing is the shower heads are tall so if your over 6’ you can wash your hair with ease. Simple idea under standing some people are tall and if you lift the shower head both tall and short people can use it.

We arrived late but the room key was available in the vestibule so getting in was easy. The room was cute, clean and comfortable. It had a great shower and nice beds. We left before the office opened and the card I used to book was expired, but the staff that called to get the new card was very nice and understanding.

The hotel contacted us about our original booking in March, letting us know that a Value Room does not include amenities, and we needed a fridge. We thought it amazing that they contacted and told us this! They let us upgrade to a Standard room. When we arrived in July, the room had a double/queen? bed, and we needed a king, which we had originally booked in the Value Room. The staff didn't hesitate to let us switch rooms, and we ended up with the perfect room for us! We loved the log interior and decor. Sent photos to friends immediately. Everything was clean and cozy. It was quiet and relaxing. We could walk our little dog outside the back of our room by the river. This is so much better than staying in the town, where things are crowded. It's only 1-2 miles from "downtown," but we are not "crowd people!" Great place to stay, even for one night.
