Great cabins along the river, well furnished, very convenient to park, walkable to all the restaurants, cafes and shops, trails for snowshoeing and skiing are just in front of the lodge, as well as the ice rink. Lots of privacy in the cabin and private hot tub.

Great location,

We have stayed here several times in the past 10 years. The location is perfect for Nordic skiing and walking access to the shops in Winthrop. The rooms have not been updated at all and they are showing it. Towels and bed linens were gray. No cleaning or freshening was done all week. Had to ask for toilet paper.

Cozy get away

The room was very clean. There was plenty of room for luggage and winter clothing and equipment. The bed was comfortable with lots of bedding. Doors had secure deadbolt locks. The room had a microwave and refrigerator and table and chairs. Nice view out the window.

Rooms clean and location perfect for walking downtown and accessing ski trails. But WiFi minimal in room, towels old and rough, no room cleaning, breakfast options highly variable with no coffee one morning and Keurig broken in lobby.

Property is a little tired and run down--paint chipping in bathroom, towels were old looking, bedding wasn't great. This is a great location for hockey tournaments though so we have stayed at this property multiple times. This time we booked through Expedia (as we usually do). We booked over a month in advance assuming the rates wouldn't charge however on the day we checked in I had an email from Expedia snowing that there were several rooms available that were priced significantly lower per night than when I had booked. I was under the impression that Expedia had a low price guarantee so I contacted Expedia and spoke with a rep who was very kind and contacted the hotel to see if they would be willing to honor the lower price. They were told no by the hotel. At that point we had aiready checked in and been charged for the 3 nights that we had booked so we were stuck staying there. Lesson learned on our part. We will not be staying at this property in the future and will be sure to let other members of our team to take their business elsewhere as well.

I have stayed at this hotel 5 times now. The room had the heater go out and had to wait for about 1 hour or so for maintain to show up and replace the entire unit. Thank you rotate effort on a Friday evening. The breakfast was okay and at the bottom for a healthy meal. Hockey season is in full force and the local ice rink. A number of teams and players stayed at the hotel. Quiet time should be observed at 10 PM. The noise went on until 1 AM. We stayed in room 14 on 2nd floor.
