I stayed at this property prior to and after a 3 day cruise. First stay, front desk staff was very accommodating and wonderful at check in. I was very tired due to flying overnight from the state of Hawaii and driving in traffic to get to the hotel. I paid a nominal fee and was able to check in to the room a couple of hours early to get cleaned up and get some much needed rest.
I enjoyed the location of the property as it boarders on a residential neighborhood, so there was limited noise and fugitive light at night. The lot could get packed in the evenings, though hotel staff do their best to keep the lot open for hotel guests.
Found it a bit unsettling that the hotel staff needed to physically unlock the lobby door each time a guest entered or exited the lobby at all hours, both day and nite. Despite this, and observing the usual "creatures of the night" in the area during the late nite hours (10pm to 6am), didn't feel completely safe, yet not unsafe enough to stay someplace else.
Check out went well, and I was on my way.
Checked in with the same front desk staff on the 2nd stay after my cruise. Again, front desk staff was very accommodating and got me checked in efficiently and was able to provide me with a 1st floor room (at my request).
A minor issue arose due to a miscommunication between hotel staff. Senior management promptly resolved the issue and the rest of my stay went well.
Will definitely consider future stays at the property.
