"In a phone call from someone from the hotel ( turns out they were from the Crescent hotel, owned by by same company,) I specifically asked about breakfast time as we had to be at Assembly rooms at 8 am. I was assured breakfast started at 7.30, even on a Saturday. On arrival I found this was not the case. The person on reception assured us that it would be be sorted with either the chef coming in early or us being walked round to other hotel. Saturday morning staff knew nothing about this but did take us to other hotel.
The lift was an act of faith; we only used it going up, despite mobility issues , and twice had to get a member of staff to get the lift as the door did not always close properly. Meal in the bar was excellent…but was the restaurant ever open for anything other than breakfast?
We also had to ask for more toilet roll; even budget hotels leave you a spare!"
