Just Great!
I enjoyed everything about my stay, especially the quiet, location, the wildlife around the community, sunsets, sunrises and ease of checking in and out. I wish all rentals were like this!

Two week stay at condo
Motel 6 had a better selection of necessities than the condo. No beach gear, ice chest, condiments (like salt and pepper), dull knife set missing scissor, no Big Island travel book, blanket didn't fit bed. Had to call to get compete starter kit. No feeling of extras, very spartan.

Great property for a peaceful stay.
The condo and property are great! Beautiful view of golf course and palm trees and flowers. Very comfortable place to stay. I would 100% stay again. The only tip for improvement would be to provide gate code with check in instructions.

Three weeks at The Shores in Waikoloa Beach Resort
Nice condo complex, convenient location. Complex is well maintained. Condo needs attention. Lots of minor irritants like limited kitchen items (only 2 wine glasses, no BBQ tools, no refrig/freezer storage containers, etc.), blinds that don't open, very slow WiFi, dirty carpet, no fitted sheets, small flat screen (not smart) TVs, etc. Manager informed, no response. Budget experience at premium price.

Adequate
The condo is in a great location but needs a lot of renovations. Unable to adjust the air conditioning and the fans barely work. Can get warm during the day. The microwave/heater is extremely old and we did use especially during this time when more comfortable eating at condo than crowded bar.

Perfect for a small family
We enjoyed our stay at this little condo! It is quiet and perfectly situated in Waikoloa Village. There were 4 beach towels provided and I noticed a crib in the closet, as well as some basics to cook and do a load of laundry while you’re there. The management team texted me to ensure I had what I needed to get started in my stay.
Some recommendations, albeit minor: the trash bags provided are super thin and don’t work. Consider upgrading to a classic Costco kitchen bag. That was really the only inconvenience, as we had to get creative on how to carry our trash out. Otherwise, we’ll absolutely be back!

Nice location, not-so-nice condo
Let me start with the positives...
Waikoloa Beach Resort is a great area to stay and we've stayed at two other condos at the Shores previously. The grounds, pool and fitness center are all excellent.
That's why we were so disappointed in this particular condo. First impression when walking in the door and seeing the customary "please remove your footwear" sign is that my dirty shoes are way cleaner than the stained, dirty looking carpet that I'm about to step on.
Next, we discovered that the A/C will only go down to 73 degrees which meant that we would have the ceiling fan going at full speed all night so we could sleep. To the management company's credit, they did offer to have thier maintenance person come by to see if they could lower the minimum temp but that would mean either having someone in our condo while we were not there or sticking around and waiting when we should be out on the beach enjoying our long overdue vacation.
The kitchen has relatively new countertops but the appliances are cheap and very old. The range/microwave combo is especially old, works well, but has not seen a proper cleaning in a very long time which I discovered when searching for the hood fan and light buttons and came away with greasy sticky fingers.
Every condo that we've stayed in on the islands has beach essentials - Towels, chairs, umbrellas etc were all absent. Instead, there were some medium size bath towels to use at the beach.
The kitchen had the minimum complement of equipment but no salt and pepper or other basic spices.
That's all a very long-winded way of saying that we will be back, just not to this particular condo.
