We stayed for a week at the Fairway Villas for the Lavaman Triathlon. It was an ideal location for that event since we could walk over to the start in less than 10 minutes. Our condo was clean, spacious and comfortable and we had access to the crystal clear infinity pool and plenty of parking. The kitchen was large and fairly well-equipped and the check-in and check out process was straightforward and easy. Our particular unit did not have any beach gear - no chairs, umbrellas or anything, and while there were plenty of plates and pans, there were no cooking basics like salt and pepper, which we found a bit odd. We did get plenty of towels, both bath and beach towels, and it was easy to get more when we needed them. The place was pretty quiet other than the mowing that seemed to begin most days at sunrise. Overall, we had a great say and would return again.

Loved the condo, the view of the golf course, the sunsets, and the proximity to shops and restaurants. Our second floor condo was roomy and clean. The complex was kept in great condition and there were many flowers in bloom around the grounds. Finding the location to check-in was a bit of a hassle, but all the rest was wonderful. be sure to have a Happy Hour cocktail at the Lava Lava Beach club.

We have rented condos in various areas on the big island and we prefer Fairway Villas. It’s pretty, close to everything, can walk everywhere. Nice views. The complex is kept up and has many beautiful plants. Miniature golf is close and not a bad price. There is a $2 one way trolley shuttle you can take to check out the dolphins at the Hilton. The complex was pretty quiet. We all just really enjoy it there.

I just wanted to respond to the person from NZ who said there is not much to Waikoloa. WELL, we have at least 2 dozen world class restaurants, many cafes and a food court, 4 luaus per week, the best restaurants right on the beach with live music and hula dancers every night, free performances in the Queens and Kings Shops area, free classes for learning ukulele, lei making, hula plus a free tour of the petroglyphs, snorkeling an a dozen other water sports, whale and dolphin watching, a walking path for miles along the beach, the best beaches on the island, all within a 15 minute drive, 2 grocery stores, a Starbucks, great shopping, a farmers market, a movie theater plus a live theater with great shows about 30 minutes away in Waimea. To find out what’s going on, just Google the month’s calendar at the Kings or Queens shops or Kahilu Theater. Oh, plus golf, swimming, organized bike rides, several yoga classes each day, (yes, on the beach), experiences with dolphins, paddling with the outrigger club and scuba diving. In addition, it is very safe and quiet at night, it’s without the crowds, and when there was VOG, we did not have any. You will not get this in Kona. Lest I mention......we have more sun and less rain and clouds! Just FYI.

Knowing that we were arriving after 11pm the staff emailed us maps and instructions on how to assess our condo. The condo was just what we needed for a week long visit with a washer and dryer, lots of towels and a fully equipped kitchen. The pool was lovely and the complex also provided a clean bbq area. The location was good for driving around the island. We were able to walk to the nearby restaurants. The beach is a good hike if you are carrying towels, chairs and umbrellas. Parking at the beach is available

We’ve checked in for a week . The villa we were assigned wasn’t very clean Dead bugs ( not shown ) in the living rm. , counters sticky ( hadn’t been wiped down . Dishes in the cupboard grimy . Then there’s the dirty bath tub , dirty air vents & moldy area around the bathroom. We did call right away & mention it wasn’t very clean .the next day someone came & vacuumed & mopped the floor in the kitchen but that’s all that was addressed. We ended up spending a couple hrs cleaning the place ourselves so it was livable . For a company that charges there clients a $250 cleaning fee I don’t think this standard is acceptable . Not the outrigger standard I’m use to . The overall property is great .they need to hire new cleaners . I would still recommend this property

I walk with a can or a walker and this place the cement is so uneven I have almost fallen many times. The toilets are very low so hard to get on and off. It is very close to many stores and if you are in good shape you can walk but I could not do that. The pool is fantastic and the grills are nice Grilled out once so far and hope to do more before we leave. Our view is the golf course and I would recomend getting closer to the pool area. we were on the bottom floor so 3rd floor room would have a better view. I just wish we would have known some of this before we spent all this money. I would definitely stay where I sould hear and see the ocean

We spent 6 nights at Fairway Villas and had a wonderful stay. We had a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom villa that was close to the pool. We found the villa clean and comfortable. The location was great as we had hired a car which allowed us to head out and visit the rest of Big Island. We would happily return to Fairway Villas if we ever make it back to Big Island.

Late check in went smoothly, except the out of service elevator (fixed on 3rd day). Accommodation as described, everything was clean, except resort bedspread which needed/needs a good cleaning. Grounds well maintained, quiet location overlooking golf course. Gates in gated complex had been removed, still not installed. Neither blinds in master bedroom nor in living room work or cover window. In general the condo needed some minor maintenance to a variety of things.

My Dad and I stayed here and the grounds are really beautiful! Great pool and spa and the golf course looks lovely although we don’t play. We stayed in bldg D and the apartment was lovely. Free WiFi, two bathrooms and bedrooms and very clean and tastefully decorated. It is also resonably priced. Great stay!
