We rented a two bedroom apartment/condo in Zama Village which had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our one-week stay. We had been communicating with Lenin prior to our arrival and he met us promptly upon our arrival to Zama Village and showed us the apartment. He was very efficient, informative, and courteous. Zama is a large complex with a lot of construction going on, however, the majority of the time it was quiet enough for us to enjoy. Within the complex there is a small store and a restaurant called the Chacabar which we ate at a couple of times. Excellent food and pizza at very reasonable prices. We toured a few condos under construction with Ignacio who was also very friendly; no pressure whatsoever; we requested the tour.
The beach is very close with the spectacular colors of the Caribbean water. My husband enjoyed riding the waves. Also this is very close to the Tulum ruins. We had a car, but the parking gets crowded after about 12 pm. We also rode bikes to the beach one day which wasn't far at all. We went to Poc-Na beach club two days which was very nice; great food and nice shaded beach beds. Also went to the public section, which was fine except we had no chairs. Dined at the Mezzanine restaurant right nearby with a beautiful view; delicious Thai menu, but other items as well. Also went there for breakfast one morning which was really nice. We tried Ziggy's beach club one day. Shaded beach beds are complimentary with $60 food/drink minimum.
