Check in went well enough. But we got there around 9:30pm to check in, got our room and then went to retrieve our things from the car (we had a sleeping toddler and didn’t want to disturb them for check in)
Once we came back inside, the night staff was at the door of our room and said that she was “checking to make sure everything was all set for us”
I said thank you and didn’t thing much of it. However, upon entering the room, we were hit with a brick wall of smell. It was musty as if the carpets had been wet down and never properly dried. A mixture of humidity and mold.
My husband immediately took the filters out of the air conditioning unit and washed them out in the tub.
It didn’t improve the smell though.
Over all, it wasn’t a horrid experience as we just needed a place to shower and sleep for a few hours. So we were able to bear the smell.
But if you are here for an extended stay, please be aware that you may encounter this same issue.
