Nice hotel, they are in the middle of a renovation. Rooms are nice, quiet, comfortable. But the location is terrible, I should say the road access to the hotel is terrible. Know where you need to turn, and be on your toes, it’s easy miss.
As a frequent traveler for work, I am quite critical even under construction this is a great little hotel centrally located. And also Jeremiah at the front desk was extremely nice and patient as he gathered my missing points from IHG® rewards. Thanks for a great two night stay
Cost of room was extremely TOO HIGH! This is not a major city - Give me a break. Then when you finally get checked in, the internet would barely allow you to log in. So very SLOOOOW! AC continually ran but could not bring the room to a comfortable temperature. There are plenty of other options within 2 miles so go pass this one and have a good night without killing your budget!
In traveling back and forth to Florida it is always hit and miss when it comes to what hotel to stay at and what to expect once you get in your room. This Holiday Inn Express in Manchester is a home run. Rate may be a little higher than you might encounter at most places but this hotel is defiantly worth a little extra cost if you've been in the car for 12 hours. The rooms are clean, the shower was fantastic, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked great, it is located in a good quiet and seemingly secure area as well. The staff was friendly and even though we did not eat breakfast before leaving in the morning, the continental breakfast which was laid out looked very good. We did have some coffee which was great. The hotel is located next to very good and mildly priced restaurant as well which you will not be disappointed in plus you get a discount if you show them your room key. Good stay and I recommend it highly.
Was awesome place to stay with family and friends i would recommend it to any one looking for a reasonable place in price and very clean and friendly staff they made ypu feel like it was home and were there at a snap of a finger
Stayed here for 1 night in May. I have been going there for past 10 years and find the location (just off 24) to work well for most of the Manchester, Tullahoma, Lynchberg, AEDC area. Walmart is close by, a Starbucks and O' Charley at the end of the car park. It looks like it is getting a facelift, it's probably due as I am sure it's been there about 10 years. Staff are always friendly like the good folks of Manchester are, special thanks to Matt for sorting my room after the HIE in Tullahoma sold my room.
This hotel was an overall good experience. The lady working at the front desk was always smiling and nice. She really made the stay better with her bright personality. My room was nice and clean as well. No complaints. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 bubble review was the renovations - specifically, because the pool was closed, there was no access to the workout room. It would've been nice if they'd worked out a way for people to get to the workout room.
Stopped for the night on the way to Fl. Very nice clean place. Desk was friendly and helpful and breakfast girls were great Highly recommend. Beds were super comfortable And location was a perfect stopping point
Stopped for the night on our way home from Disney. Unfortunately, the hotel was in the midst of a major refurbishment of the lobby when we arrived, so nowhere for the weary to sit while waiting to check in. However, the room was extremely comfortable and clean, and the desk clerk very helpful in recommending a nearby Chinese takeaway. Breakfast good despite the chaos, but seating once again limited. Pool closed and no vending machines during our stay, so amenities also minimal.
We drove until we were tired and called about an hour out of Manchester. Booked the room and were not told they were renovating. I may have been more accepting if they had. We arrive and the state of the building is appalling. The first-floor lobby, breakfast area and seating areas are poorly marked as a construction area. They are off limits to the public. Floor tile is missing in the main public area that isn’t masked off which makes floors uneven and it is a slip, trip and fall hazard. The contractors spoke to us, they were drinking beer in the lobby and outside the entry, they told us they were getting ready for their shift. I told the desk clerk they were drinking and he said there wasn’t much he could do, they weren’t his employees. I decided to use the pool and hot tub. The hot tub has been filled in with concrete and although it wasn’t marked off in any way the pool is off limits. I almost jumped in, I was in the pool room for about 10 minutes before the contractors saw me. There were no indications that the pool was part of the construction zone. I was told the vending machines have been removed because they are doing the floors, not sure if they were gone on all floors but I couldn't find them. The contractors let me know that they have been under construction for at least 2 weeks. The desk clerk stated that corporate knows they are renovating and is not telling anyone when they book a room. He was very apologetic but really couldn’t do much for us. He said he has had tons of complaints – and unfortunately we didn’t make him feel any better. The contractors said we would walk across the street and use that hotel pool – I chose to come back to my room, watch TV and write a negative review. I am looking forward to tomorrow, I have been told there will be limited breakfast - I have no idea what that is but it doesn't sound like it is going to start my day right! Let me just say that I run construction projects and this is a disgrace. Contractors drinking on site before their shift, areas poorly blocked off, visible construction mess. I am very disappointed in the Holiday Inn chain for allowing this type of a contractor to renovation their hotels. The desk clerk said that corporate plans to take the hot tubs/spas out of all hotels. BIG mistake. That is one of my favorite things after a long day of driving. This was day ONE of our trip and I can guarantee that I will not stay at another Holiday Inn over our 7 day vacation unless I somehow get a free room when I call corporate to complain!
