Location, peaceful, relaxing, comfortable, all you could possiy need.
We chose Rumple's Retreat at Highland Hideaways for our 2 week stay so we could visit 8 different state parks in SW VA. Since we camped near Natural Bridge and Lynchburg on both ends of the trip, we brought way too much. Really, a suitcase and a grocery store visit enroute is all you need. Oops, and a rocker for the front porch time; there is a table and chairs though.
A couple of not such abig deal things about this beautiful cabin:
- be patient with the door lock responding to unlock
- morning in the summer comes around 5 to 6, due to the window coverings or not. The loft is really bright. We have a dog, so that was not much of a problem and on some mornings we wanted to be on the trail early.
- Alexa sometimes talks with her mouth full, so she is difficult to understand or hear.
- Water is delicious straight out of the tap.
We were out too late or in bed too early to get the opportunity to use the fire pit or grill.
