Wyndham San Diego Bayside
4/5 Good
"The proximity of this hotel to the Cruiseport was awesome, directly across the street. The hotel is large with 2 towers and a few restaurants. It is very walkable to other restaurants, the boardwalk and shopping. However, the hotel room was very tired. The beds were super comfy but the room itself was very tired. The sliding door handle was loose and falling off, only locked with an additional hook lock, the curtains were very stained and full of marks. The bed skirt was also full of black marks. The shower needs an update and the toilet made a high pitched squeal every time it was flushed. The light switch when turned on also made a weird noise and there was no sink hand towel rack. The towel was hanging on the drawer pull of the vanity. The sink was a good size, however the tap was installed so far back on the counter from the actual sink opening, your hands constantly hit the back of the sink wall when washing or brushing your teeth. The hotel did have attraction/restaurant offers which was nice, and the front desk staff we dealt with at check in and out (Lili) was very friendly and helpful. Overall, for a one night stay it was fine, but we wouldn’t stay for an extended stay."
