The property is in disrepair. The back entrance from the parking lot has not been maintained at all and is disgusting. There is no restaurant or bar as stated. They informed me that the restaurant pulled out 2 months ago. The only amenity is a little coffee shop. The cooling unit in the room was very noisy so I turned it off and opened the window. Very disappointed in the entire experience.

Grand old lady lost her luster…. The Taos la Fonda needs owner staff and perhaps investors to bring her back to life…. It’s little things… like unreliable splitting heating, no step down warnings from bathroom, dusty bathroom fan ventsz. But also unnecessary things like night desk blaring music throughout lobby ( into my room). A day desk staff that didn’t believe our no heat experience at first…. This is a grand old place that needs revival

I would never choose the La Fonda again in Taos. Room was very carefully cleaned but very shabby and the walls were paper thin. No amenities that enhanced my stay. Other than the first night at check-in, the staff I encountered unfriendly.
