Forget the drama of moving a college student, the Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa Westshore/Airport was our unexpected haven! Seriously, I'm pretty sure their beds are stuffed with clouds and lullabies. After wrestling a futon up three flights of stairs at USF, sinking into that mattress was like being hugged by a thousand tiny, supportive angels. My kids, usually connoisseurs of the "can we just have Pop-Tarts?" school of breakfast, were actually thrilled with the spread every morning. I'm not sure if it was the sheer variety or the fact that someone else was cooking, but they were genuinely impressed.
And let's talk convenience! Visiting our daughter at USF was a breeze from this spot. The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff? Absolute rockstars. They answered every question (even the dumb ones I probably asked before my first coffee) and honored every single one of our needs. It's official: next time we're in Tampa, you can find us back at the Residence Inn, probably fighting over who gets to sleep on the cloud-bed.
