My stay at this property didn't start off well. The room I was originally put in was a complete dump. The door looked like it had been pried open many times, you could see daylight through the bottom and there was paint falling off the door and ceiling when I walked in. The walls are paper thin as I could hear everything in the room next to me. After my first night, I awoke to men roofing right above me. I was very disappointed that Holiday Inn would offer rooms like this. I was fully prepared to leave because I felt for the money I spent the quality should have been much better. This place looked like a Motel 6. When I went to the office to complain and go somewhere else, a front staff member named Russ, bent over backwards to try and make me happy. He was so kind, polite, and professional. He upgraded my room and solved my issues. I ended up having a much better stay because of him. Here are the positives of this hotel:The staff is excellent, the location is great and the room service is wonderful and they have a nice laundry facility for guests. The only negative is the place needs completely gutted and redone. The quality just isn't there for a Holiday Inn. I would have left 2 more stars if the property was in better shape. Honestly, the guy that saved the day was Russ! Give him a raise!
