Quiet Getaway

This house was just perfect for three couples! 15-minute walk to the downtown area, nice sidewalk right in front of the house, and cozy back area to sit out and relax at night. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay with pleasant communication with Katie the house manager.

This was the best VRBO property I have rented. Great location, unbelievably equipped, well appointed, everything looked brand new. The management was very attentive and responsive. It was uniquely and beautifully decorated. Everything was outstanding!

We had the best time! The neighborhood is amazing and so close to downtown. Loved being able to walk everywhere. The property manager was so accommodating and let us check in early last minute. There is a long term tenant that stays upstairs (still a separate unit). She was so nice and very quiet. Plenty of parking. The backyard area was amazing. Loved having our coffee while watching the sun rise over the little lake! Would definitely stay there again!

The property was beautiful and clean. The eclectic decorating was fun! The kitchen had everything we needed. We would rent it again. It was within walking distance to some of St Augustine’s historic site’s & restaurants.

Wonderful Place To Stay

This was a great place to stay. We have been to St Augustine so many times and have never stayed in this neighborhood. The location is so convenient to the historical district and it is also a very quiet and beautiful area. The home is absolutely beautiful and has all amenities we needed. We will definitely want to stay here again.

Casa De Lago stay

This home was exactly as seen in the photographs. After a full day of sightseeing in town, it was so peaceful to relax on the porch in the evenings with a cool drink and watch nature at its best. The extras provided by this host were so appreciated. There were games, books, extra dish detergents, paper towels, ice, too many to list. I will definitely look for properties by this host for future stays.

Mother/daughter vacation

The stay was wonderful. The house was charming, beautifully appointed, very, very clean, and had everything you could possibly need.It was so beautiful sitting outside on the little lake. Everything outside is beautifully appointed as well.Someone always gets back to you and takes care of anything you need. It was just a wonderful week from start to finish. Wonderful host.

Perfect Location

From the moment we stepped into the cottage we knew we had found the perfect place for our mini vacay. From the beautifully appointed kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms, to the welcoming and peaceful backyard overlooking the lake, what was not to love? Historic downtown close by and a walkway along the water was several of the perks. We enjoyed our last night relaxing by the fire in the firepit in MY favorite outdoor chair, the Adirondack. This home should be considered on your visit to St Augustine. We would love to return on a future visit!

The PERFECT spot for your getaway to St Augustine!

This property had it ALL…The backyard was our favorite. Covered porch with 2 chairs, trellis covered eating area, lit glass fence (so cool) and fire-pit with a starter pack of firewood all overlooking a beautiful, quiet lake. All of the rooms had king size beds which is hard to find in a rental when you are traveling with your friends. We stayed in the lakeside room which had the best shower with wall jets…I’m already getting ideas to remodel my own bathroom…lol. The owner was super fast to reply if you had any questions. One suggestion I would make is to know this house is in a beautiful neighborhood with full time residents so remember to be respectful.

Sisters Getaway

The house was perfect for our (four) sisters getaway. The inside and outside of the house were beautiful. The location was great - close enough to easily walk to the historic district but in a lovely, quiet location. I would definitely book again.

Charming neighborhood on the water

We enjoyed this lovely, peaceful location on the water and just short walks to restaurants and shops. Kitchen was fantastic and fireplace added cozy ambiance on cloudy, chillier days. Short drive to the beach and great neighbors.

Wonderful Stay - Highly Recommend!

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at this property! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped the space was. The host was incredibly welcoming and provided all the details we needed for a smooth check-in and check-out process.The location was perfect, offering both peaceful seclusion with views of nature when enjoying our morning coffee, and easy access to local attractions (walkability is great). The amenities exceeded our expectations – from the fully stocked kitchen to the cozy living areas and comfortable bedrooms. We especially loved the outdoor space – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.We truly felt at home here and would definitely return ( and we are already scheduled). Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a top-tier VRBO experience!

Special Place for The Holidays

This house is a modern lakeside cottage with loads of upgraded touches. The kitchen is top of the line. Patio if fun with a WOOD BURNING firepit.The light fixtures are unique and plentiful. Love the touch lights by the bed and plenty of plugs for electronics too..

Wonderful Lakeside Rental

We enjoyed our stay at this lakeside property. It was clean, nicely decorated, very well equipped and conveniently located. It was a bonus to have morning coffee lakeside while keeping an eye out for birds and jumping fish (we saw Egrets, Anhinga, and Pelicans). Also worth mentioning is the useful information the management company provides as we thought it made for a better trip/stay and the host and property manager were very prompt and responsive when needed. Definitely a premier host.

Had a wonderful relaxing time sitting watching the birds (anhingas, ibis, osprey, herons etc)... as well as watching the firepit at night. The amenities exceeded our expectations (we fell in love with your kitchen). The location is perfectly situated. We enjoyed walking the old streets of Lincolnville and the short walk to downtown Saint Augustine. Thank you Volkmar for thinking of everything! P.s. If you have read this far...just book it! This is an excellent choice!

The Greatest VRBO site ever

The Splendor on the Lake was amazing. It had all updated appliances, newly renovated bathrooms, and kitchen, The deck on the lake was beautiful and the firepit was a hit every night. The hospitality of the owner, providing us with some items needed to prepare meals and do our laundry was over and above the norm. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the Mornings and the fire pit at night. we will definitely rent this house again. We have stayed in a lot of rentals but this house far exceeds any of those. We look forward to our next visit.
