Helpful staff. Posted address for hotel reservation showed Shawinigan but motel was located in Grand mere, a sector of Shawinigan but confusing for Google maps which should help find the place easier. Signage could be improved especially at night to find the motel.

Although the building is likely ~50 years old, the interior has been comprehensively, tastefully, and well renovated with enlarged modern rooms and bathrooms. It appeared to be quite busy while we were there, but it was very quiet in the room. Given the proximity to La Mauricie and the highway to Saguenay, as well as the charm of the Grand-Mere district of Shawinigan, it is a good choice.

It’s at a really nice location to visit the La Mauricie National park. Rooms are clean. There were a few noisy guests at late night. The WiFi speed was very slow.
